"Let's get inside," he whispered, pulling away for only a split second for them to run into shelter.

Their feet slapped against the wet concrete, Anneliese barefoot, as they ran with their hands still entwined towards the door to the apartment building.

They couldn't even last long enough to climb up the stairs with just their hands together.

The second the warm air hit their faces, their lips moved together again as Sirius kicked the door shut with his foot while still kissing her at the same time.

Water fell all over the floor from where their clothes were dripping, not that either of them were going to be dry anytime soon.

Anneliese quickly pinned Sirius against the wall so that his back was pressed flat against the paint, her tattooed hand gripped tightly in a fist around his soaking shirt, pulling him closer to her.

Callaway's breath hitched as one of his hands slowly moved up her side, the contact so light that it felt like a feather was tauntingly drifting across her skin. The sensation sent a shiver down her spine, but one of excitement and not fear.

Anneliese pressed Black further against the wall with her hips, wanting every inch of their skin to be closer together if he just wouldn't put his damn hand all the way down just to make her angry.

"You're impatient," Sirius teased with a smirk, still not opening his eyes.

"I've been waiting six months whether I realized it or not," Anneliese replied, breath shaking. "That's too long."

"Fortunately, I agree," Black said, opening his eyes slowly.

The two of them were about to lock lips again as smiles flitted on their faces before an uncomfortable cough came from behind them.

"Excuse me, you two are blocking the stairway."

Anneliese and Sirius broke apart from one another so fast that the family behind them would have missed it if they even blinked.

There was a mother and father who both looked absolutely mortified that their children, one less than twelve and the other a toddler were having to see the two teenagers take part in such a fiery display of affection.

Black was desperately trying to hold in a laugh as he exchanged a glance with Anneliese that said they both needed to get upstairs, right then.

They were in a total state of euphoria as they sprinted up the stairs to get back to Quennie's apartment, both of them having been so happy very few times in their lives.

"Did you see the expression on her face?" Anneliese asked, collapsing against the wall outside the apartment and holding her stomach from laughing.

"She looked like a grindylow," Sirius wheezed back.

They lasted a few more seconds trying to regain their composure after laughing, but the breath simply wasn't returning to their lungs.

Might as well just steal it another way as well, Anneliese thought as she kissed Sirius again, pressing his shoulders against the door.

But of course, there was another interruption.

The crinkle of parchment sounded against Sirius's head as it tilted back against the door, and he opened his eyes in confusion just in time to catch the note from falling to the floor.

Dumbledore and I went to the Blind Pig for the night because I'm not stupid.
Love, Queenie

Anneliese stared down at the note in disbelief as color filled her cheeks, knowing that Goldstein's claim and suspicions were far from inaccurate.
