A Sonnet of Sorrow

All the bomb had to do is tick

And fifty girls were blown up so quick

As they seemed to have a normal school day

Little did they know death was on their way

As parents searched hospitals for their little one

Why were they bombed? What had they done?

All they sought was education

Which for girls wasn't encouraged in their nation

Little girls now cry and say

They don't want to go to school and at home want to stay

Women there always live in constant fear

Day after day, year after year

Let us hope there is a day

Where they no fright will display
