hastily jumping up from your seat, you smiled gently, running as fast as you could in front of the door, awaiting the letter that was yet to come. one of your roommates, a very disturbing early bird happened to have this routine of checking the mail every day. a routine you were rather grateful for, but at the same time embarrassed. grateful because you didn't have to put in the effort of going out every single day of opening the mail, yet a bit flustered because well, the person who sends you letters---
"your boyfriend again, y/n?" he teased, handing you the letter. you ignored the question, having been used to his teasing by now and taking the letter. you placed yourself down on your desk, shooing your roommate. "don't you have class or something?"
he rolled his eyes, "yeah, whatever, bye!" he left, leaving you alone with the letter you had been waiting for. your fingers delicately touched the envelope he used, a plain white one. nothing too extravagant, (he's pretty basic when it comes to designs) with only a small heart decorating the middle part. you smiled softly, opening the letter and taking out the paper that contained the words you've been wanting to read,
hey, y/n.
how are you doing so far? i hope college isn't too rough on you. lately, i have been doing pretty well here with my brothers. my brothers have also brought in a new friend, his name is itadori yuuji and we've been getting along pretty well. also, i'm doing pretty well in my course. our paper was approved so i could not be anymore happy.
it's why i'm writing this letter to you. but don't get me wrong, i'll still write to you even if i'm angry, mad, or depressed. i am your pen pal, after all. anyways, enough about me, what about you? have you been doing well? how's college? are you taking care of yourself? are you not working too hard?
you grinned, finding his concern endearing.
idon't know when this letter will send itself out, neither do i know when you'll read it but i should have reached there once you have done so. i'm hoping you've reached the letter before i do because i don't want you getting confused.

i know we've only been pen pals for a couple of months because of the event both our universities had but even so, i was able to learn a lot about you. i hope you'll still like me even after you see me, haha, who knows?
