She pulled her body to sit up right, she was in a frilled camisole and sleeping shorts with her hair tied up in a high ponytail. She brought her hand to her forehead and found a faint trace of a cold sweat running along her hairline. When she was certain what she just experience was a dream, she pulled her legs to her chest and rested her head against her knees.
She pulled a sweater over her head and changed her shorts for a pair of pajama bottoms, she sat at the edge of her bed and looked out the window; she was in Ottery, St. Catchpole in Devonshire, England. At the end of Third year, the four held their promise that they would spend summer together and for that to happen, they spent the last week of the summer at Ron Weasley’s house.
It was a change for Ariella; she never had any siblings or any relative, other than her and her Grandmother. She felt guilty for leaving her Grandmother but she wasn’t as old compared to most grandparents, like Ariella’s parents, she was around her mid to late sixties. If you must know, Ariella’s parents were one of those couples who thought they were madly in love and rushed the relationship; however, even though all was well there were complications along the way.
Dawn was about to approach as Ariella stood up, Hermione walked through the door, dressed ready for an outing.
“Oh good, you’re up!” Hermione smiled.
Ariella shrugged it off; it wasn’t as if she could sleep after having such a nightmare.
“And I see you are too. Did you just arrive?” Ariella asked.
Ariella arrived only last night while Hermione’s parents wouldn’t allow her to leave until two days before school started.
“A few minutes ago, actually. Mr. Weasley wanted me to wake everybody up; he says he has a surprise for us. Fred, George and Ginny are already downstairs dressed. You better get a move on.” She said with her bossy like tone, however, it was softer compared to her tone towards Harry and Ron.
“Good luck with the two sleeping beauties upstairs!” Ariella teased before Hermione left with a smile as she walked through the door.
Once Hermione left, Ariella started to look for an outfit that would be much more appealing for an outing, even though she was clueless as to where they were heading, for all she knows, they could be heading to a place that require formal attire. In this case, casual was the safest choice; she wore a pair of fitted dark blue jeans, a long sleeve fitted u-neck maroon shirt with a jean vest to go nicely with it, a brown pair of combats boots that complimented her brown leather rucksack and to finish her casual look she wore her hair with her natural loose dark brown waves.
Moments later, she joined Hermione, the Twins, Fred and George Weasley and the youngest and only female in the family, Ginny Weasley; all stood drained yet their faces full of life, waiting to see what lies ahead for them, the only problem was that there were two that held back the anticipation. Ron and Harry had yet to join the group which held the entire group. Mr. Weasley paced around the living room as everyone else leaned against a sturdy firm object to redeem a minute or two of sleep.
“Here!” Ron hastily said with Harry straggling behind him.
Everyone jumped slightly to the sound of Ron’s voice; Fred and George leaned against each other to rest until they toppled over, the girls’ bumped heads as they huddled over the dining room table with backpacks strapped to their bags. Mr. Weasley’s face lifted with age once he saw Ron and Harry finally with the group; he took no time to head out the door as they already lost time as it is.
Mr. Weasley led the group into the forest near the Burrow, the anticipation and curiosity filled each and everyone’s mind. Ariella could hear Fred and George making bets as to what the surprise could be; Harry and Ron still a bit dazed fell behind while Ariella laugh alongside with Hermione and Ginny. She enjoyed getting to know them as the days grew older, it was a refreshing taste compared to the friends she could mistakenly consider as friends at Hogwarts.
