chapter one

I woke up to the sweet smell of summer. I checked the time. 7:30am. I decided to get out of bed and get ready for the day. Slowly, I walked over to my bathroom to go pee. After I had finished going to the bathroom I turned on the shower and waited for it to get warm. I grabbed my phone and shuffled my playlist. The first song that played was Woman by Harry Styles.

I finished my shower, and grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my freshly cleaned body. I walked over to my dresser and picked out a pair of jean shorts and a yellow blouse. It didn't really fit me but it was the only shirt I had that was clean so I decided to wear it anyway.

After I got dressed I went to go do my makeup. Today I decided to go with a natural look. As I was applying my makeup, I got a text.

~From Reiley at 8:00~
Goodmorning. Want me to drive you to school today?

~From Amiyah at 8:03~
Sure. Pick me up at 8:30?

I put my phone down and finished my makeup while waiting for a reply.

See you then.

I was excited to see him. I have been friends with him for a while now. Since 3rd grade actually. I used to have a crush on him. It makes me laugh thinking about it now. I went downstairs to get some breakfast before Reiley got here. I decided to go with 2 waffles. I opened the freezer and grabbed the box of eggos, then put them in the toaster. I sat at the counter while waiting for them to cook and scrolled through my phone.

When my waffles finished cooking, I grabbed them out of the toaster. While grabbing them I burnt my finger. "Ah! Are you fricking kidding me?"

I grabbed my backpack and headed out the front door. I saw Reiley sitting in his car while waving at me. I got into the car and put my seatbelt on.

"Hi. Do you mind if i play some korn?"

I thought about it for a sec because though I do like Harry more than korn, it's not that bad of a band.

"Sure go ahead"

*Freak on a Leash By Korn starts playing*

"Reiley turn it up!"
