Everyone knows
Word spreads like wildfire at Redoll High
And with my status, call me a forest because this caught fire real quick
I had taken a break from school just to reorganize myself, so when I finally walked into the building, a million eyes were on me, examining my body for any evidence to feed the rumors that fuel their souls and give them life. I felt sick. The doll child, Chance Jenkins, had finally suffered enough to get some dirt on that perfect gold exterior, rusting it over to a hard, crisp brass. I was almost drowned in these thoughts until I was tapped on the shoulder to my left. I fliched, the area was still a bit...sore. That was all the confirmation those teenage vultures needed to fill the hallway with very much so unmasked whispers.
I turned to see Tiana, my best friend. A pretty black girl with a gorgeously big afro and hazel eyes, looking up at me with worry and pity.
"I don't need your pity, Titi. Please don't spare me any."
She shook her head with a soft smile and said, "If you don't want pity, I won't give you any, but I will always be a shoulder to lean on. Keep that in mind Chancy Boy."
