A Nightmare Dressed As A Daydream

C h a p t e r 2

Chapter 2 . 

" That shows you not to mess with me . " Emmy crossed her arms and pushed her fringe out of her face . 

     Noah groaned from the ground and got up in a highly vampire speed , " Oh , you love me messing with you ..dirty ..." He whispered in my ear . 

       I froze , unable to move . So he continued , " Come on , babe . Give big bro a hug !!! " He swung his arms wide , mud dappled on my already dirty clothes . 

      " Never ! " I hissed , dodged and swing my body to the left but switched and swing to my right . 

Too bad , he knows me better than fall for my trick too well . He turned right and hugged me , closing the paper-thin gap .

     " Damnation. " I wiggled in his arms , unaware that I am pushing my chest into his  . "As much as I want you throwing yourself at me but boy , you're making me feeling the feeling that i shouldn't be feeling . You know ? " He looked down at me with his hands on my waist. 

     I feel his aroused little friend touching my lower abdomen , and blushed . I moved away and mumbled a sorry .  He didn't let my waist go , " Tsk .Tsk . Bad girl " Noah grips my waist lifting me in the process and threw me over his shoulders . Jeez, the ground seems so far away . 

     I smirked and slapped his ass . " HEY ! " he yelps . And he slapped mine .

       " Hey !" 

       " You shouldn't hit mine , Baby Cakes" 

      " Let me go ,Noah . Before you regret it " I warned .

      " Okay " He immediately let go of me . Shit , I gripped his jacket before I hit the ground , face first .

  In the end , I fell to the muddy ground with  Noah on top of me ..Talk about awkward ... His eyes roamed my face ,down my nose then to my parted lips ..He coughs and rolled onto his back beside me . 

      " You know , we will find Garrett no matter what . " Noah promises . 

  Oh ,Noah . " It's been a hundred and ten years...." 

     " And the diamond is still blood red . " Noah said , releasing a long breath of relief . Everyday he pray he would get older faster so he can go on missions and wars or rescue the prince someday . Just like me. I am a tad bit rusty on my vampiric skills since i've been around humans for years and became one , eat food , sleep , movement speed , and blinking . Miss Rodriguez is  nice enough to cast me a spell on me few years back . Now I am back , the spell is broken .

        I shut my eyes , every royal bloodlines  has a diamond to represents their moods by the change of colours in the diamond . When a new royal is old enough , the kingdom will provide a diamond for him . The queen will personally take blood from the royal born and pour it on to the diamond , and chant some phrase . I was there when they did it on Garrett not clearly but clear enough to remember he screamed , Noah told me that it feels like your heart is being squeeze inside . 

     You already know blood red means super alive and healthy . And he's not bound to shackles and siting in a special cellar . Noah said in my head .

     Yup , he got a gift . Do I have  ? Sure do . Can I show it ? Nope , not now at least . 

" Yes , it is " I got up , in the outside i may seems like a strong tough thinking all ladies should be .But in the inside I am just the little girl in pink wool jacket with a skeptical thinking . 

     Noah got up as well and pulled me into a comfort brotherly hug . He must have sense my insecurity , I promised him  I would put on my poker face when he is around . I gave him a grateful smile he deserved from me not an ugly scowl . " Let's go riding like were suppose to . " 

       " Let's . You smell ! " He said , sruching his nose in disgust . 

       " And you smell worst " 

After setting up the saddle , brushing knight's black fur and Noah put a few carrots into each of our pouch on the horse . And we're ready to go . 

    We hauled ourself into our horses without  difficulty , galloped out of the barn and head into the forest .  Trees covered with snowflakes and fell to the snowy white ground , everything is just a blur  if i dont have my advance sight .As Noah and I fast trotted deeper into the forest , wind flush through my face and hair , but my eyes just focus on the big fallen brunch . I grinned and whispered.

" Okay , baby . It's your show "

        Flex my fingers on the rein as I  lean forward into two-point as the horse's front end comes up,  then go back real quick when the front end lands and the hind end is up. And as Knight's hind legs touchdown , I lean forward and hugged Knight's front when he slows down . Adrenaline still pumping in his veins , " YEAHH !!! " I cheered . 

     I turned to look at Noah behind the brunch , and smirked . "That feels amazing " 

 Noah smiles , " Pretty good job for a girl " He pretends to check me out , his eyes roams down my body and up .

 I smacked at the back of his head in a nanosecond then back to the spot I was two seconds   before . 

   " Oh , Noah . " I said , in a old lady voice .

 " OW , that hurts ..And don't Noah me . " he said , getting up his horse . 

" Don't care "  I took a carrot from the bag and gave it to Knight . He neighs happily , I climbed on him again ,getting momentum on the stirrups and pumped myself up .  

      Noah is already in front of me , the sequestered forest smell of wetness and a few bears hibernating  with a sound of peaceful breathing . After a few minutes of forest riding , Noah stops and got off his horse . 

    " Noah ? Something wrong ? " I asked , sniffed the air but sense nothing wrong , out of place or unfamiliar . 

    Noah signaled me to come to him , he's looking directly at the sun  . 

I walked to him slowly , and face the sun . Gasps . " It wasn't there before , is it new ? " 

          I asked him and slowly walked towards the open where the beautiful crafted colossal statues .

      The left statue was a man , with a horrific expression on his face . I looked at the middle status , it's a woman's face . Serenade settles at her face but the way her eyes is terrible .

     I moved my eyes to the right statue ,I caught my breath that gush out of my lung. He's beautiful . I held out my hand ,wanted to stroke his face . He look almighty fine , not frightened by anything that comes to life . Fungus dappled all over the statues . Who did this to them ? It sure isn't made out of an oven , it's real . They had been cursed . 

     " I don't know . It wasn't here before , Don't touch . " Noah said with sedateness laced voice . Oh , fuck . The Sage Noah . 

    He took out his phone and snapped each other the status's face . 

" Let's go back , we're going to be late for dinner . You know how my dad hates it when we're late " Sage Noah said . I wanted to explore more , but contain my protest at wise looking man before my eyes . 

   I nodded and head back to my horse . But a movement caught my eyes before I turned away from the handsome statue , I freeze at my spot .

  " Did you see that ?? " I asked Noah , my back facing the statue .

  " No , come on . Let's go " Noah walks towards me and put his arm around my shoulder . 

I climbed up Knight once again and looked at the statues . I shake my head in my own stupidity .
