Winter in Ohio, once again
Off to work in the morning
Weather man gives his warning
But my job doesn’t care
I have to be there
YEAH IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
My tires, give no resistance
To the slush’s, insistence
That my truck be pulled, {into oncoming traffic}
Every now and then
YES IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
Black ice in the distance
Trying to convince us
That it isn’t there, wont get a big scare
Lose control, be unable to steer
YEAH IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
In the meadow, standing by a snowman
Which is where my truck decided to land
As it went flying, in the air, off the bend
YEAH IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
Waiting there for a tow man
Just me and the snowman
Frosty declared that it’s much safer just to walk
And “Only a dumbass, would ever hit the brakes expecting to STOP!”
Later on you can find me
Sliding down a hill, I should be climbing
Toward the bottom, I’m in, a great big spin.
YEAH IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
Fish-tailing down the highway
Just got passed by a Con-way
Now I am covered in yuck
Gave that trucker a cuss
YEAH IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
Flashing lights in the rearview
Praying their not coming after you
I give a sigh, as they roll on by
YEAH IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
Later on, I’ll perspire
As I rev and rev my tire
More than just a little pissed
That I’m stuck in a ditch
YES IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
Freezing rain, on the windshield
Hoping you, don’t get yourself killed
Cause you cant see, any of your course
And the damned wipers, only make it worse
YES IT IS WINTER IN OHIO, ONCE AGAIN
You know we face unafraid
The trek that we made
Cause it is only driving
IN THE WINTER
IN OHIO,
ONCE AGAIN
