A Haunting

Part 1

"It's not funny Kayle, I'm not joking there's something wrong with this!" I gave him the crystal and he started laughing again, "Kayle, please get rid of it" he was turning it around scaning for the face I saw earlier; "This could be something valuable to the kid you know" I didn't forget about the kid, however, this is not something to be given to a kid, he might see that face and end up getting a heart attack and Kayle needs to understand that, "This thing can not be something valuable, it's scary!" "Alright Alright, I'll throw it away on my way home" "Thanks Kayle".

I unlocked my car, wore my seatbelt and headed home, I parked infront of my apartment and took the stairs up because of some sort of problem that happened to the elevator two days ago, I went inside and threw my bag on the chair; my phone started to ring. "Hello?" "Sweetheart, did anything happen to you? How have you been? Why didn't you call me, it's been months since I spoke to you" My grandma stormed me with bunch of other questions, "I'm alright grandma it's just that work has kept me busy, are you okay?" "I'm fine and even better to hear that nothing has happened to you" "What do you mean, were you thinking I died or something" I laughed but she was pretty serious  "This is not a matter of laughter, I had a tragic nightmare about you but hearing that you're fine I am relieved, how is work going?" I got frightened, what did she dream about? "Work is alright" I said as I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, I got some cucmber to munch, "Come to see me hunny, Christmas is soon and I really want to see you" "I'm coming this Friday, don't worry" "Bring the man I met when I visited you, I really want to see the both of you" "But grandma --" she cut me off "He's a good man and I would love to see him before I die" "Grandma!! Don't say that" "Can I ask you for a favour dear?" "Yeah, anything..." "Take care of yourself and I'll see you soon" "Okay, you too... I love you too.... Bye"
