Chapter #1

"You have three minutes. Run or hide. If we find you, you're dead."

It was a normal day in the underground. Crimes, prostitutions, abandonments and  extreme poverty. You grew up with all of that. Your mother was a prostitute. Your brother was a thug. Your father was unknown. But there was one thing that you knew was positive, your desire to see the sky above. Your dream to see the sun brought endless hope in your heart. Was it hot? Or was it warm enough to keep you from the cold? How did tree's looked like? Was it really green? Does it really clean the air? You wanted to see the river that connects the Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Shina. You heard that the water doesn't taste like pig piss like you, people in the underground, always had.

There were animals that you wanted to play with as well. Cows, horses, rabbits and birds. Would they bite you if you let them? Would they bark just like dogs? What was really the color of the butterfly? Does it resemble the rainbow? The rain. You wanted to walk under the rain. You sick of the rain in the underground.  It was pitch black? You couldn't see a thing. The streets are quiet. The laughter of your  pursuers bounced in each walls in the streets. Those menacing laughs sent shivers through your body. Could you outrun them? With a chain in your ankle, you knew you couldn't get far enough to lose them.

It was hopeless from the very start. After your mom died a year ago. You stayed with your brother for a few months until he was killed by some other notorious thugs. He was in great debt. People forced you to pay instead. They put you in auction a day before and a certain thug bought you to be his new toy. Your life was not yours anymore. You knew you could never escape, especially not in the underground where people are forbid to leave this destitute city. "Found her!" Blood left your body as soon as two large hands grabbed your shoulders. Your hair stood on ends. He pinned you to the ground with his foot. An excruciating pain in your back precipitated your floodgates to open. Your beautiful dream flashed through your head. The sun, the river, the trees, the animals, the rainbow and the rain. It was all gone now. You felt the whole world collapsing upon you. And when you decided to accept your faith at the hands of these evil men. The light pierced the darkness. A man appeared. You knew him. You knew him when you were just a small girl. You knew him as your dear friend. You played together. You ate breakfast together.

"Levi..."
