Laughing, I posed for the cameras with my older sister who had just been announced as the number 5 hero. I was so proud of her! Rumi playfully pulled me into a head lock as the reporters laughed. I pulled myself free, brushing my hair free from knots. "Jackalope! How do you feel about your sister gaining the title of number 5 hero?" One reporter asked. "I'm so proud of her! I wouldn't expect anything less from my badass sister!" I said, smiling brightly. "Aw, thanks baby buns!" She laughed pulling me into another headlock. "Mirko!" I whined. I pushed her arms from around my head and fell back. I yelped as someone caught me. Glancing up, my e/c eyes met a pair of yellow ones. "You alright there?" The owner of the bright yellow eyes asked, tilting his head slightly. "Uh, y-yeah! Thanks!" He gently helped me back onto my feet. I gave him a quick smile and waved at him as I went back to my sister. I playfully punched her in the shoulder as she laughed at my red face. "Aw, sorry baby buns." She teased. "I will fight you." I warned. "I'd like to see you try." We shared a look before laughing. She threw an arm around me as we walked past Hawks, who Rumi playfully smacked in the back of his head. He looked at us, laughing as we walked past him. "Mirko, are you stealing my date?" "Like you could even keep up with my sister, bird boy." Rumi laughed. I smiled as she led me inside.
"So who was that?" Rumi asked teasingly. "I don't know, but he seemed sweet." I laughed. "He was totally checking you out!" Laughing at my sister, we walked past multiple pro heroes as they congratulated my sister. A few male heroes slipped me their numbers, to which I promptly responded by handing them to Rumi and let her give them back to the males with her own personal touch she called a warning. I smiled as my sister soon became center of attention, and I honestly couldn't be happier for her. She looked back at me, grinning wildly. I gestured to her to go have her fun. She nodded and disappeared into the crowd. I glanced up, noticing a sudden shadow over me and laughed seeing Hawks's wing. "Some guys were staring pretty hard at your ass, Y/n. Figured I'd handle it before Rumi caused a bloodbath." "Thanks Keigo." "Not a problem bunbun." I glance over to the grinning blonde. "Congrats on number 2 hero." "Thanks, Y/n." I was pretty close with Keigo, but not as close as he and Rumi were, but close enough. "So... who was that guy that you bumped into?" "No idea. Rumi was making fun of me for it though." I sighed. "Wanna ditch this joint?" "If you're offering to take me to get some food, I'm game." The blonde laughed. "Pardon me." Keigo glanced over his shoulder, his wing wrapping tightly around me. "Can I help you, bud?" Keigo asked. I peeked around the red wings to see the male I had ran into earlier. I smiled, moving out of the blonde's wing. "Hi." I beamed up at the tall, round male. "Evening miss." I could feel Keigo's eyes on me.
Taking the chance to shoo him away behind my back, which Keigo took the hint and disappeared. I glanced at the male's hero suit. "Excuse me for asking, but who exactly are you sir?" "Name's Fatgum, and you're Mirko's sister." I nodded. "That I am, my name's Y/n." He offered me his hand. "Nice to meet cha!" I took his hand only to see how much his hand dwarfed mine. "Ey Jackalope! Give us a smile, pretty bunny!" I sighed, hearing catcalls from heroes. My massive bunny ears that were similar to lop bunny ears dropped back. "Didn't you learn not to treat a lady like that? Honestly, you're terrible." Fatgum shot back, making me look at him in surprise. "Eh shut up! We all know that the only reason you're able to be a hero with your fatass is because of your quirk." That caught my attention. I turned on my heel to face the catcallers. "You really are some pigs, you know that? Who the hell makes fun of people's weight in this day and age? You're pathetic." I snapped back. "Come on Fatgum." I took the male's arm and led him away from the rude heroes. Ignoring the eyes of other heroes, I led him out to a balcony area.
"Thanks for coming to my defense like that miss." Fatgum chuckled. "Though it doesn't really bother me as much as it did when I was younger." "I try to encourage body positivity with my career." I shrugged. Fatgum raised a brow, tilting his head to the side slightly. "Your career? You're not a hero?" "Nope! I'm actually a model, I try to use my place as a celebrity to encourage people to be more accepting of people despite how they look." I said, leaning against the railing. "That's a good message to be sending out to kids." Fatgum smiled. "Oh my god! Jackalope! Hi! My daughter is such a huge fan of you. Could I get a picture for her?" Some random hero asked. I gave Fatgum an apologetic look. "Sorry, not right now." I smiled. The hero rolled their eyes before storming off. "How mature." I snickered as they stomped inside, probably going to find my sister and complain to her, like most people did. "So Fatgum, what exactly made you come track me down?" The male's face flushed pink for a moment. "Ah, you dropped your phone." He said handing me the object. "Oh my goodness, thank you so much for returning this." It would suck if I lost this. "It's not a problem." He chuckled.
I ended up spending the entire night getting to know the tall male, who ended up giving me his phone number when my sister came to drag me home.
