Water, that's all Austin felt as he woke up in a trench. "He's awake!" Shouted a friend of his, clearly happy to see Austin was alive. A Marleyan commander stood there looking at the boy, "good, the devil is awake" this made Austin want to go back into that lifeless state he was just previously in as he picked up a rifle off the ground. "God.... what happened?" Austin asked his fellow candidate. "An artillery shell blew up next to the part of the trenches you were in, you got knocked ou-" before his friend could finish a girl would butt in and state, "you're 16! You shouldn't be able to let yourself get knocked out so easily!" This girl was Warrior Canididate Gabi Braun. Meanwhile the boy she interrupted was Chris Addison, Austin's best friend. A soldier would drop into the trench, their armband was grey... he was a standard infantry soldier. "So you devils, we're going to do a trench assault.... we'll make a wave of you people go before we send you candidates and the Marleyan soldiers after" claimed the Officer.
"Ok but what about the trains?" As Chris and Austin, both getting the reply with, "we focused an attack on them with the Cart Titan's cannon" claimed the officer as he went back to his quarters to prepare the plan. This was a death trap, they were going to make standard infantry run in front with bomb vests and even without them, it would've been a suicide mission for both with and without the vest.
