"Remind me to never get on your bad side" he kissed her forehead.
"Thank you" Jiwoo mouthed to her as she went to find Ji-hoon, no doubt to blow it out of proportion and her heroic act. Jiwoo was cute, much like a younger sister she was warm and she could tell a good story.
"What bad side?" she smiled as she reached their table and sat down. The members eyeing them.
"Where have you two been?"
"Just had to help Ji-hoon and Sena" she smiled at them.
He looked right into her eyes and smiled his gummy smile "like blow me up? I heard you know how" as her eyes widened and she promised herself payback at Jia and Alexander.
"They did not" a little too loudly as all eyes from their table stared at them and he chuckled.
"You ok?" Hoseok was concerned
"What's wrong?" Tae looked at her.
"Just finding out stuff about my fiancee" as he turned to see Hwa-Young walk out from the corridor with the red hand print on her face, he turned to smile at her. "Your handy work" as she smiled at him, beaming with pride. Her eyes narrowing "evil" he eyed her as everyone turned to see what they were looking at.
"She talked about you and Deiji, she shouldn't be here" as he nodded looking in Ji-hoon's direction. Ji-hoon and Sena looked so serene.
"The things you do to protect your friends and the people you care about" he placed his hand on hers.
"I was mad, your name and Deiji's should never cross her lips.. who knows where it's been" she shuddered as he chuckled.
"When we are married should I sleep with one eye open?" he laughed as she shrugged.
"Dont worry I wont be as subtle when it comes to you.." as his eyes widen in panic and she laughed "we had hidden enough of ourselves before" her smile that made her eyes curl up at the corner, closed lip and gentle it showed the dimpling in her cheeks.
"I can't wait till that's us" he pulled her chair closer to his as she smiled at Ji-Hoon when he eyed her, no doubt Jiwoo was done with her story. Sena's smiled had been telling when she nodded her way.
"Dance with me then" she smiled as he pulled her up and led her to the dance floor.
She could feel his eyes only on her as his arm wrapped around her waist, the floral chandelier that hung above them between the lights as he held her close. Leaning her head on his shoulder she closed her eyes, it had been a long day but she saw the smiles on Sena and Ji-hoon's faces. She had not felt such a resounding peace since losing Deiji but tonight she got to love so completely without pain.
Looking down at the tug on her dress "eommo" his big brown eyes staring back at her as she smiled.
"His turn" as she smiled at Yoongi and he giggled.
"Beaten by a toddler huh?" she turned to see Sung-deuk smiling at them.
Yoongi swiftly picked up the tiny tot and wrapped his arm around her spinning them around the dance floor slowly as she kissed his cheek, the thrill of his laughter filled her ears. She had missed Deiji dearly but tonight healed her just as much, to live her life as happily as she could until the day she would get to hold her again.
They both planted a kiss on the toddler as he ran back to his mum and Sung-deuk waved at them.
"I miss her" her wistful smile, where she could smile amid pain.
"I miss her too" he kissed her on the forehead as the music came to an end, she had noted the music that rang through the months with Deiji. That reminded her of him *8 letters - Why Don't We
"Why was it so hard to say" as he spun her around.
"Perhaps cause you wouldn't have meant it like you do now" she had understood why. To love so completely you needed to know what there was to love in front of you.
"It never changed, it just got stronger.. why didn't you" she wasn't even sure.
"Cause you knew me and it scared me.. if I had said it would you have doubted it?" as he shook his head "we could have ended when we lost Deiji" she knew that, they were fragile. Deiji was their glue for many months. That perhaps if they had been together, losing Deiji could have torn them apart anyway.
Bringing drinks, food and looking after one another wasn't love, caring maybe.. but it wasn't enough for her. It wouldn't have been enough to stay and he knew that too. Love was needing her, wanting her and never letting her go.. he had learnt that the hard way.
