“Lauren, I need to talk to you” Buffy said as I walked down the stairs.
“whats up?” I asked slipping my phone into my back pocket.
“we need to find out who the vampire in the alley was last night” she said leaning against the wall.
I looked around to make sure nobody was listening before I answered.
“agreed, and when we do I'm gonna beat the shit out of him” I said crossing my arms.
“not exactly how it works around here” buffy said
“maybe it should be” I shrugged
“you're bad” she laughed.
“to the bone” I said winking at her.
“come on” she said opening the door and chucking my jacket at me.
“where are we going?” I asked putting my jacket on.
“to the library” she said leading me out the door.
“the library? Seriously?” I asked boredly.
“maybe you're more hands-on when you're slaying, but I handle things differently” she said softly
“by going to the library” I said slowly
“yes” she laughed
“ok fine, I'm on you're turf, I'll try to do it your way.... But no promises” I said shrugging.
“great, oh and Lauren?” she said looking at me.
“yeah?” I asked curiously
“be nice” she said softly, and looking at me hopefully.
“I'm always nice” I said sarcastically
Buffy led me through the doors of library and shut them behind us.
“ok, this place is huge” I smiled looking around “and funnily enough, looks nothing like a library, good job buff” I said gently pushing her.
“whatever, come on, there are people waiting” she said pulling my down the hallway.
“who's waiting?” I asked following her through the building. She opened another door.
“I spoke to soon” I muttered looking around the room. That was filled with books.
“you're here” a girl said running over to buffy. “who's this?” she asked looking over at me.
“this is Lauren, my cousin. Laurs, this is willow, xander and Giles ” buffy said smiling at me. And pointing to each one of them.
“omg hi! I've heard so much about you” she said wrapping her arms around me.
“ummm hi” I said gently hugging her back
“we're gonna be really good friends, I can feel it” she said smiling excitedly.
“I didn't come here to make friends” I said. Willow frowned slightly, but kept her grip on my hands
“Lauren! Play nice” buffy ordered softly
“ok fine, we can be friends” I said
“so what do we know about this guy?” Giles asked looking between buffy and I.
