Split String of Fate:(Killua x Reader x Kurapika)

~Exam: Phase 2~

"WHAT?!" You and your friends shout in unison. " You never said we had to do that!" you yell.

"It's common knowledge for chefs, that one must add their own style to their dish, or else it's nothing but food. So, for the 2nd phase of the Hunter Exam 0 applicants pass!" Menchi exclaims. Almost on cue, all the applicants erupted in protests. You stumble backwards, only to be caught by Kurapika.

"Looks like we'll be taking the exam together next year." He said a little too cheerfully. The though of taking the exam again with Kurapika did make you smile, but you were still disappointed you didn't pass this year.

Suddenly, a man with a long white bread and wooden sandals jumped down from a blimp, which had the hunter association logo on it. When he landed the ground beneath him cracked under the impact, both his legs should've shattered, but he appeared perfectly fine. He radiated an extremely powerful aura. He was clearly someone powerful and with authority, who you didn't want to mess with. He walked over to Menchi and began to scold her on her behavior

"Yes, I have failed as and examiner and let my anger get the best of me." Menchi said, hanging her head. Her once fearsome, and condescending aura trembled under his. "I here by resign as a judge and with that I wish that you'll pretend the 2nd phase never happened, Chairman, sir."

"I have a better idea." the chairman said, " You will continue being a judge, but you must come up with a new test, which you personally will participate in so that applicants can't complain about it being impossible."

"As you wish..." Replied Menchi, "Sir would you be able to fly us to that mountain over there in your blimp?" she asked pointing towards a tall mountain, that seemed to be split in half,

"I don't see why not. "

You were to jump into the chasm that split the mountain in half and retrieve an egg of an eagle spider for the redo test. Menchi had already jumped in as you all waited anxiously. After a few minutes, she shot back up as if suspended in mid air. She then flipped onto the ground next to you, landing perfectly. She had a very large egg in her hands and she held it up for everyone to see.

"This is the type of egg you must get!" She said, "Whenever you're ready!"

"Great! This is more like it!" Cheered Killua.

"Ya!" Agreed Gon. Then they both jumped into the chasm. 'These guys really fear nothing...' you think to yourself.

"Ready?" Kurapika asked.

"I don't know... I'm not the best with heights..." You say.

"Come on, we'll do this together!" Kurapika said as he grabbed your hand. His hand sent a flow of comfort and reassurance into you. You blushed at his uncharacteristic forwardness, but held his hand in response. "Okay!" You said as you both began to run over the edge. You both let go as soon as you had to grab onto a web like substance. Now all you had to do was wait for the up draft which Gon was going to tell you all when it was to be.

After a while, the web began to snap. 'Oh no...' You thought. The web you were holding on to had suddenlly snapped and you began to fall. "Y/N!" Killua shouted. Thankfully before you fell too far down, a hand grabbed you wrist. You looked up to see Kurapika's smiling face.

"You can't die now," He said, "You promised to help me with the Phantom troupe."

"You're right, I'm sorry! I almost broke my promise." You laugh and sick your tongue out.

"NOW!" Yelled Gon, and Kurapika let go. You grabbed an egg and were plummeting to the ground, until the updraft picked you up and sent you flying to the top of the chasm. You landed safely on you feet and looked around for the others.

"WATCH OUT!" Shouted someone from above you.

"AHHH!" You scream as you stick out your hands to catch the person.

"Um...thanks..." Said Kurapika.

"You're welcome." You say smiling. You had caught Kurapika right before he smacked into the ground and were holding him bridal style. 'It probably would've been romantic if he had caught you, but this was just awkward.' You let him down. "It's the least I could do after you saved my life." You said as you bring him into a warm hug. He hugs you back and you stay like that for a while.

"Well, i couldn't have just let you fall, I still need you." Kurapika whispered into your ear so quietly so that only you could hear. You blush and back away a bit just to plant a soft kiss onto his cheek. This made him blush furiously as you both let go. You quickly ran towards Gon to hug him for letting you know when to jump. Hopefully, no one noticed you getting too close to Kurapika.

You all ate and enjoyed the hard boiled dream eggs.

Little did you know, someone saw the whole thing between you and Kurapika.
