~The Awkward Reunion~

"Not long, just got here. Why, did I miss something?" He asks leaning closer to you to examine your expression. The closer he got, the more vivid the memory of your first kiss got. When you looked into his eyes you couldn't help it, you quickly stumbled back and blushed. "N-no n-nothing." You say as you bring your hands to your face to hid your red cheeks.

"Do you know this boy Y/n?" Kurapika asks calmly, ignorant to your flushed face.

"O-hh s-sorry, I didn't get to introduce you two. Kurapika, this is Killua. Killua, Kurapika." You say introducing the two as you look away from Killua to hide your blush.

"Nice to meet you." Kurapika says as he extends his hand towards Killua.

-tsk- Killua said looking away from Kurapika and turned towards you. "What are you doing here?" he asks you as he pokes your forehead.

"Killua that was rude, Kurapika was just trying to be nice and you just ignored him." You scold as you grab his hand to stop the poking.

"It's fine, "Kurapika says, "I'm not that open to meeting strangers either, so I'll just leave you two, to some catching up. Plus the exam is starting." He says as he disappears into the wave of running applicants. You and Killua follow, but trail away from the others, so you can talk.

"So..." You started, looking down at your jogging feet. You were all running and were supposed to follow the examiner Satotz to the next exam site, but you didn't know how long or how far you will be running.

"What are you doing here?" Killua said in the same cool tone as he hopped on to his skateboard.

"O-oh r-right." You stutter, " Well, I came because I want to get my hunters license and become a black list hunter, like my parents. And you? Why are you trying to become a hunter?" You ask shyly.

"Well, I'm not really interested in becoming a hunter, I heard that the hunter exam was a challenge, but so far it's such a let down." He said.

"I-I guess we didn't reach the hard stages yet." You stutter. 'How can he act so cool after that...thing... and pretend like it never happened?' You think to yourself. You can barely hold up a conversation with him without feeling nervous and awkward.

"I guess so." He says as he continues to ride his skateboard. You found it a little unfair, but it wasn't exactly against the rules, so you don't say anything.

"Well, I'm gonna go on ahead at meet up with my friends. It was nice catching up!" You say hoping for an escape from the awkwardness. But he grabbed your wrist before you could run away. He had jumped off his skateboard to run next to you. You were still taller than him, but only by a few centimeters. You had grown a bit since the last time you saw each other, but he grew a lot.

"I feel like your trying to run away from me." Killua says, staring right into your eyes. You look away from him to hid your blush. You can't help it, whenever he looks at you like that, you think about the...thing. He looks down sadly as you both continue to run, a little further apart. "You hate me don't you." Killua says in a sad tone. "You hate me for not visiting..." You look at him shocked. 'Is that what he was thinking?!' "Look I'm sorry, it's just my parents never let me. So I ran away, just recently actually, but I couldn't visit you right after cause my family would be looking for me, and I didn't want you to be in danger..." He said looking even more sad.

Killua's POV:

'I was right, she hated me for not keeping the promise. I should've tried harder to get past my parents before I ran away, ughhh I'm an idiot! I left her alone. She had no other friends, but me and I just left her. Of course she'd be mad at me for that.'

"What?! No Killua! I could NEVER hate you!" She exclaims.

Your eyes widen and you smile. 'Thank God... wait,' but "Then why are you acting so weird?" You ask.

She looks away as if gathering her thoughts. When she had seemed to find the right words. Eventually she takes a deep breath before she tursns to you with rosy red cheeks and shouts, "B-because of the kiss you IDIOT!" causing many to turn and stare. She looks around in horror, realizing how loudly she had said that and her face turns completely red. Before you could say anything, she had run into the crowd and disappeared.

'She was thinking about the kiss the whole time huh...'You think to yourself. 'Maybe this exam would be more fun than you thought,' you laugh.
