The Start of the Year

After saying goodbye to Mrs. Weasley as the crimson Hogwarts Express departs from patform 9 3/4, As they entered the Hogwarts Express, Harry looks at Ron and Hermione and he says, "Looks like all the compartments are full, so who should we seat with?" Ron and Hermione look awkwardly at each other until Hermione replies, "Uhm.. Harry, we are supposed to be in the Prefects cabin, We will just receive instructions from the Head Boy and Girl, patroll the corridors a bit so uh.." The painful reality hit Harry. A couple of days ago In the Burrow, two owls arrive with a letter explaining that both Ron and Hermione are the new Prefects for the Gryffindor house. After getting their badges and telling the news to everyone, they held a small party that night to congratulate them both on getting their Prefect badges. Harry forgot how upset he was, and immedietly said, "Oh right.. Uhm, ok then.. I will just find my own compartment then so uhm, Bye I guess.." His voice trails off as Hermione and Ron both say in unison "Bye then" and they leave for the Prefects cabin. Harry has never rode on the Hogwarts Express without Ron and Hermione, as he walked through the hall, people peep out of their compartments to get a look at him. After the tragedy last year, people would obviously be curious about him. While trying to find the most empty compartment, a voice calls out and says, "Harry, over here!" Harry turns around and sees Ginny Weasley, waving at him outsude a compartment. He hurries over, and discovers that only 2 people were in the compartment. Ginny Weasley, and a girl reading an upside down magazine he didnt know. He sat down, and Ginny said, "This is Luna Lovegood, Shes in Ravenclaw and shes in my year."
Luna looks up, and says "Harry Potter, I know alot about you.." Feeling uncomfortable, Harry just nods and starts chatting with Ginny. An hour or so later, Ron and Hermione arrived. Clearly looking exhausted. "They're so Immature! Running up and down the halls and jinxing each other! Of course, Malfoy, as a prefect, didnt even do ANYTHING! Me, Ron, and the 4 other prefects had to settle down the ruckus! I mean, WHO would make him a prefect!?!?" Hermione said, clearly furious.
"Dont mind her mate, she got abit upset when Corner called her a rule-loving-fool." Ron muttered, while Hermione was still clearly ranting about the ruckus in the halls. Harry though, ignored her and asked Ron, "Malfoy didnt do anything? Thats so... un-malfoy-ish" Ron replied, "Yeah, weird right? Of course, he kept quiet whenever we passed him.."
Malfoy not doing anything was something new alright.
Draco Malfoy, son of Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy has always been a very nasty, bragging, and annoying 5th year boy. The first time Harry had met him was 4 years ago In Madam Malkins. He reminded him very much of Dudley Dursley, but the more Harry seemed to know him, the more he hated him.
"Have we missed the trolley..?" Ron asked,
"Uhm..No-"
At that exact moment, The trolley passed by.
"Oh goody! I have been STARVING." Ron said as he walked out of the compartment with a handful of knuts.
The rest of the ride went smoothly, and sooner than anticipated, Harry was carrying his luggage towards Hogwarts.
