"Halo, this is a sacred incantation, and to be used if it is life or death. Understand my sweet child?"
Machem explained as she held Halo's hands.
"Why are we doing it now?"
"For you to learn incase you need it." Machem booped Halo's nose in response.
"Yes, but what if I can't?"
Halo asked as he bowed his head. Machem looked at him with worried eyes.
"What do you mean Halo?"
"What if I can't do the incantation like you or Diam?"
Halo looked up at Machem with tears in the corners of his young eyes, threatening to spill.
Machem gave a soft smile of reassurance as she squeezed his hands.
"You can do it," Machem whispered, kissing his forehead.
"You can do it better then me and Diam."
"Really?"
"Yes."
Taking a deep breath, Halo sat up straight among the wilting Flowers and began their sacred song.
(—Roughly translated—)
Where the sky meets the water,
And the stars dance with the moon
Where lost sons and daughters,
Sing a joyful tune
That's where we are
With the great Monauo,
Where daughters fly
And sons become great chiefs that never die.
Where the sky meets the water
And the stars dance with the moon,
Where lost sons and daughters
Sing a joyful tune.
Seconds after the song was finished the soil around began to slowly shift and turn as small sprouts broke through to the surface, opening their fragile green leaves to the sun.
Halo squeaked in excitement as the plants grew around him and Machem simply chuckled at the child's manner as she remembered her first time learning the sacred ritual, But she had a much larger reaction from the plant life due the pure lapis chieftain blood in her veins. And Diam was just as strong for his younger age thanks to being the first son of Diamond Blood. Halo however with only indigo -mixed blood of a chieftain servant, he could do almost do half of the same power with proper training and nurturing.
"MACHEM!" Halo squealed with pure joy, waving his arms with his lack of control over his pride.
"I DID IT!!"
Machem couldn't help but smile,
"Yes," she pulled the boy into her arms with celebratory tears,
"Yes, you did my little warrior!"
Diam and his father watched from afar in their ceremonial Blue and white robes, having been recently finished with their family's sacred ritual, as the two hugged and laughed. Diam was glad to see his best friend wasn't crying in his absence like he normally did, because he feared the family's ritual, The Rising Stone ceremony, where Diam would be officially crowned as the Grand Chief in Waiting, would be too long. Keeping him and Halo parted for longer then they both would like.
"So I'm uniting with Halo, Father?"
Diam's father, the Grand Chief of Diamond blood, nodded as he stroked his long black neatly braided beard.
"Are you unsure my son?"
