"Well, they should."

Hairo comes up behind [Y/n] and places a hand on their shoulder,

"Don't worry [Y/n], we still have one more event! The class relay! And, to make it better, the winning team ends up with a 500 points added to their overall score!"

[Y/n] nods,

"We better win this race."

Hairo clenches his fist,

"I love the determination, [Y/n]! I was going to run, but I want you to take my place!"

[Y/n] flinches before looking at Hairo confusingly,

"Huh!?"

Hairo then turned to Saiki,

"And Saiki, I want you to be our anchor!"

[Y/n] looked over at Saiki as he mutely nodded. [Y/n] sighs. Well then, looks like I have no choice..

The first two runners were Kaido and Takahashi, but they both ended up in last. Next was Nendou, who was surprisingly fast but he looked very...interesting while running.

Oh well, at least we're in first.

After Nendou was Teruhashi. A few moments passed and Class 3 was still maintaining the lead.

[Y/n] sighed as they tried to calm their nerves. I'm next. Their anxiety was slowly eating them up as they were waiting for the baton to reach their hand.

What if I trip? What if I'm a slow runner? What if I accidentally drop the baton? [Y/n]'s breathing became heavier as they started to shake.

Fuck, this isn't good. I need to- Their thoughts were interrupted when they felt a familiar plastic item in their hand.

Without thinking, [Y/n] moved their feet to start running, but that didn't last too long because their face immediately met the ground.

Oh my god, kill me now.

[Y/n] shook it off and got up. They immediately began to run while trying not to cry from embarrassment. Don't cry don't cry don't cry don't cry.

Well then, I guess not everyone was made to be a runner. Saiki thinks to himself. At least I won't look suspicious now when I finish in last place.

"We're totally gonna win now!"
'There's nothing wrong with tripping someone as long as no one sees you.'

Saiki turns around and makes eye contact with the guy from class 4 who had thought that. Well now that changes everything, you should've kept quiet.

"I-I'm sorry I fell, Saiki."

Saiki quickly took the baton from [Y/n] and patted their head, giving them a reassuring smile,

"You did great."

Saiki turned back around and started sprinting, quickly making his way to 1st place.

"What the heck!?"
"This guy's flying!"

Payback time.

What the hell, how is he so fast!? Everyone's eyes widen as they watched Saiki cross the finish line. Class 3 cheered in victory, Hairo fist pumping the air.

"WE DID IT! NO BUZZ CUTS!"

As Saiki made his way back to his class, he failed to spot the [h/c] haired teen anywhere. Saiki walked up to Kaido,

"Where's [Y/n]?"

The blue haired male pointed his thumb in the direction of the school building,

"They're in the nurse's office. They seriously injured their arm somehow and had to go inside after they ran."

Saiki sighed, turning on his heel and walking away.

"Good grief."

~~

[Y/n] sat on the bed in the nurse's office with their shirt off, attempting to bandage the bruise marking their shoulder.

[Y/n] groaned as the wrapping simply fell off their skin for the nth time, wanting to chuck the roll then and there.

"Need help?"

[Y/n] jumped as they looked up to see none other than Saiki standing at the doorway. Embarrassed, [Y/n] quickly grabbed their shirt and covered their chest.

"H-how did you-"
"Kaido."

Saiki answered, walking towards [Y/n] and grabbing the roll of bandages from their hand.

Saiki began to wrap the gauze around [Y/n]'s shoulder, his hands working diligently and carefully.

[Y/n]'s gaze fixated on their lap, too embarrassed to look at the pink haired male before them.

"...I'm sorry."

It was then [Y/n] looked at Saiki for the first time since he had entered the room.

"For what?"
"This happened when I fell on you, didn't it?"

[Y/n] remained silent, Saiki getting the hint. Without thinking, Saiki carefully pressed his lips to the wrapped bruise on [Y/n]'s shoulder.

"I'm sorry."
