" Prongs if I become the Secret Keeper it'd be too obvious!" Sirius said, "then who's going to be the Keeper?" Janes replied. " Peter," Sirius said after a second of silence. " we can use me as a decoy, and Peter t ok be the real Keeper".

James thought for a moment, " not a bad idea, we just need Peter to agree".

" However if you get hurt because of this" James started again, " I'll be fine Prongs I promise, if it does come down to that then I'll do it," Sirius said a small smile on him. " and Peter is going to be safe he can't be the spy". James' tense shoulders were relaxed.

The two shared a hug, Peter accepted for being the Keeper everything was going well.

1982

Two years have passed, two years since Sirius made the promise, He wasn't ok. Peter framed him and faked his death, Moony is else were, and Harry, Harry is safe. 'I hope' Sirius thought to himself...

It was a promise broken.

He had taken the mark, a skull with a snake was on his left arm. Regulus was first doubtful on taking the dark mark. But here it is, it was a promise of some sorts, a promise that can never be broken

1979
" No! Master Regulus let Kreacher bleed!" Kreacher the house-elf for the Blacks screamed terrified." you've already done that, I dont want you getting hurt anymore" Regulus said softly to his Friend. Grabbing a dagger he cut of the skin that had been branded by the mark, he didn't wince in pain.

The wall of the cave opened up, Kreacher got the boat that was tied to an invisible rope. Regulus looked down as he paddled 'inferi' . The two made it to a huge stone basin. " Master Regulus let me drink it!" Kreacher screamed again as he realized what his Master was doing. " It's fine Kreacher," Regulus said a small laugh escaping him. Goblet, after Goblet the Wizard drank after the eighth Regulus was in pain and a need of water.

" Kreacher take the locket and replace it,  destroy it once you go home, and please dont tell anybody, not even Mother, grandfather of even Sirius" Regulus wheezed out. " Master Regulus I shall take you b-"

" go Kreacher ill be fine" at that statement Kreacher burst into tears, "BUT MASTER-"

" Go!" Regulus screamed it was only after that he felt something grab him. Inferi "Merde" he muttered. He was too weak to fight them off, " KREACHER GO!, DESTROY THE LOCKWT AND LEAVE DONT TELL ANYONE!" Regulus screamed.

Kreacher's eyes widen as Regulus was dragged in the deathy murks of the water. Crying he left for 12 Grimmauld place.

Regulus broke one unbreakable promise that day.

The laughter of kids was heard in a room, " Reg!" Sirius only 6 years old said. " Sor'y Siri," Regulus said giggling.

After a few minutes of playing the Brothers were exhausted. " Siri prom'se not to leave," Regulus said after a few minutes of silence.

" I promise if you promise" Sirius replied, "I prom'se!" was the answer from the 5-year-old.

" then I promise" Sirius said the two cuddled for the remaining time and fell asleep embraced by each other.

1976

Regulus went back to his room, tears silently falling, Sirius ran as far as he could tears threaten to fall. Sirius was gone, sure Regulus will see him at Hogwarts but it will never be the same again.

1979

Sirius re-read the letter again.,

Dear Mr. Sirius O. Black, we are sorry to inform you but your brother Regulus A. Black has died, the cause is unknown,
We are sorry for your loss,

The Ministry of Magic

" No no no no no," he said, it can't be true, Reggie isn't dead ( Regulus would kill him if he called him Reggie). " Padfoot are you ok?" the concern in James Potters voice was clear. Sirius handed him the letter and left for his bedroom.

Sirius cried, he didn't know why, 'Regulus is a death eater, he died for nothing' he thought. He and his brother lost contact after 1976, he ran away.

Next day

Sirius went over to Adromenda's, " you got the letter to" she said softly. " he isn't dead please tell me this is some sort of joke" Sirius said.

" Narcissa heard for Bella that he was dead, the tapestry had his death date, the body wasn't found either," she said, Nymphandora looked off to the distance.

" he's gone, there's nothing we can do about it" Adomenda's voice cracked, Regulus, Sirius, and she was close until that day.

Gone, Regulus wasn't coming back, his body wasn't found, Sirius cried for the second time.

The promise the two had shared was now Shattered.
