Today's was Rose birthday. she was turning five . She was so frail,yet so smart and understanding, even tho Rose wasn't expected to say it, (y/n) loved Rose from the bottom of her heart, she couldn't imagine a life whitout her .Yes,she wasn't scheduled to be born.Yes, having Dabi whould have been nice, but Rose deserved better,(y/n) deserved better

" Mommy, let's make a birthday cake, like Pepa did for George!" she shouted running around with her favorite plushie in her hand ."Birthday cake?.." (y/n) thought for a second. She didn't got the ingredients, the only shop who had all they needed was a market,about  2 stations from here. It was a big risk to take her daughter with her and—- " Mommy you know, I am capable enough to go outside" Rose put her hands on her hips like (y/n) always dose " I am now five, not 4! she continued raising 5 fingers up (y/n) chuckled and got up from the kitchen table " ok, how dose it sound. We go buy stuff for the birthday cake and a toy that you want ? I think you are a smart girl and you can do it, don't break my trust! But you gotta listen to me." she said looking at her . Rose eyes shined with happiness "REALLY!?  YAAAAAAY!" she started jumping up and down , excitement filling her body . (Y/n) laughed and grabbed her daughter's hand " now let's go dress, it's cold outside " they did as (y/n) said and dressed in black sweatpants and holiday sweaters. (Y/n) helped Rose to put on her gloves and long socks along with a beanie and a long red scarf. Lastly she took a Pepa pig mask and a medical mask, covering half their faces and walked out with Rose insisting to hold (y/n)'s purse

The thrifting was fun, the got all the ingredients and Rose picked up a sketch book and colorful pencils. They got to the checkout and payed all
"Do I know you?" the old man cashier asked" (y/n) narrowed her eyes and put her stuff in a bag "no" was her short answer " But I think we—" she took her stuff abruptly " I said no" she left the money on the counter and left with her daughter trailing behind

"Mommy that was mean" Rose cooed on the bus drive "No, that was protection. Men are sneaky and try to harm you, people outside will always try to hurt you. If someone tryed to tell you that he knows you or that he could take you home, you ignore and continue your way, do you understand?" (y/n) said firmly. Rose finally understood and nodded confidently "Good." she said as she got ready to leave the train

At home they had a great bakery. More or less, flour everywhere, sprinkles in (y/n)'s hair and frosting all over Rose face. They laughed and ate frosting together. (Y/n) couldn't ask for more, she was accomplished, she was full, she was — happy "Now let's go take bath with bubbles and then we can eat cake and sing you happy birthday!" (Y/n) cheered. Rose dashed upstairs "I'm gonna catch youuuu~" (y/n) started to run after her tickling her "No mommy-hahah- you won't catch meee~! " Rose laughed still running. Both of them laughed their lungs out. (Y/n) undressed Rose , and herself as well when the bath was full and bubbly. They got in relaxation moans leaving both their mouths . They played with foam and bath toys all evening , until the water was cold and they looked like raisins

After they ate cake together , (y/n)'s phone started buzzing. it was Toga . She answerd bringing the phone up to her ear

Where is sheeee?whined Toga
Rose?Ah—uh, she's across me eating cake,why? asked (y/n) munching the delicious cake
Put her on speaker please! Pretty's please~
Ok, say it.
it was quiet for a second until you could hear Shiragaki, Kurogiri,Toga and Twice singing a happy birthday song to Rose. The kid shoot her head up, a bright smile appearing on her small childlish face

Twice: happy birthday small one!!
Kurogiri : Happy birthday kid.
Toga: Happy birthday Rosy, auntie Toga loves u sooo much! Kisses!! she made kisses sound

At this point (y/n) was almost tearing up. They all rememberd,even tho it wasn't her birthday,her heart was filled with joy knowing that they loved her beautiful child. They were part of the family, no doubts.

After a small chat and thank you 's from Rose (y/n) hung up taking the almost pased out kid in her arms ,putting her to bed and tucking her in.(Y/n) sat downstairs at the lonly table deep in thoughts with a vape in her hands. She quit smoking — almost. She saw that Rose wasn't really glad about her choices and taking the good smell from her mom , (y/n) noticed that the smell of her horrible habit didn't pleased her senses. She was drowned in her book about (favorite subject ) until her phone rang up again, but this time the number was unknown. She ignored the call, letting it ring for about 3 times until pissed , she picked up "Who is it, what do you want?" it was silence in the line until the other person cleared their throat."Hi..." .(y/n) was in shock. It was Dabi. The man she praised and loved so much years ago "Dabi.." her heart melt in a puddle for her loved Dabi " Uhm— I called to speak with Rose. I want to uh—- tell her happy birthday.." he spoked. You could senses that he was , crying — kinda(?) earlier, because his voice was cracking here and there ."She's asleep now" (y/n) said firmly " Uh-um, can you tell her happy birthday for me . Please." (y/n) was took back by his actions. He never asked nicely for ANYTHING in his life and now he did , it was just —impossible to believe "Why whould I do that? You were supposed to tell her that while being here, you know?" she said a little pissed "I deserved that" Dabi said on the line ,lightly chuckling " I should and I want to but—" (y/n) was fumming with anger "Shut up. I am hanging up" she said taking the phone away from her ear "No! Wait I am begging you, please- listen to me..." he lightly sobbed " I fucked up.I know. I know so damn well. I couldn't even grow a pair of balls in 5 years to look for you and her. I can't just—- I want you, her, us." (y/n) listened with her phone at distance "Who am I even kidding? I don't deserve forgiveness, hell even you? No I don't. I just love you, I never stopped doing it. I am losing myself everyday, you kept me in place. Patches didn't, I just hope that one day I can took at least a glance at you two. Knowing that in this world is my child -a part of me ,and I can't even see them, is burning me up worst than my quirk. So I am begging you on my knees to— put on your 'to do' list my deadly desire to be with you again" (y/n) was lightly tearing up ,muffling her sobs in her hand. She took a deep breath putting her phone at her ear once again " Good night Dabi . I love you" she hanged up right away after that.

" I will see you soon" she said before leaving the table and walking upstairs to sleep.
