Ch 1: The fairy gymleader

You sighed as you walked through the Glimwood Tangle. Even though you have to walk through it every single day to get to your job you always get lost and arrive late. You lived in a small appartment in Stow-on-Side but haven't saved up enough money to buy a house in Ballonlea. Taking the flying taxi everyday would be expensive so you decided to walk. Every once in a while you tapped a mushroom making it glow brighter.

"Oi, (Y/n)!"

You turned around. Your best friend and boss stood behind you. "You trying to skip work or something? You know if you keep going in this direction you end up in Stow-on-Side right?" He asked while smirking.

"Bede, you know I always get lost here. Cut me some slack. The gym challenge season hasn't even started yet." You groaned. Bede ignored you and walked past you. Quickly follow him. "I know, let's go to Ballonlea before granny gets worried." You snorted. "Did you just call Mrs Opal, granny? Aww that's so sweet."

Bede's face turned red in an instant and smacked your arm. "Shut up! Tell anyone this and you're dead." The younger boy said to you. You grinned and shook your head. Bede might seem like an annoyed arrogant teen, well he kinda is but he's also a huge sweetheart.

"Bede we should hang out again soon, like a movie night or something. Oooh maybe a trip to the Crown of Tundra! I like snowy places, my pokémon do too"

You had two Pokémon or your team in total, Carbink and Wigglytuff. One day, Carbink just showed up at your doorstep and your dad caught it for you. You caught Wigglytuff as a Jigglypuff while exploring the Isle of Armor with your uncle. You were born and raised in Kalos and when you were sixteen you moved to Galar to live with your uncle since your parents were too busy as Pokémon researchers and couldn't take care of you anymore.

Bede nodded. "We can combine them, hiring a cabin for one night shouldn't be too expensive if we both pay." He grabbed his Rotom Phone and searched for cheap cabins. While he was busy visiting some websites you decided to quickly check your social media.

After a while you came across one of Raihan's new posts. It was a picture with his Flygon with the caption "Dragons are the best, the cutest and the most powerful :3"

You chuckled as you showed it to Bede. "I'm gonna comment, doubt he'll ever see it though." Bede grinned. "Please do, I've been waiting for someone to shut him up. He keeps spamming the gymleader/gymtrainer group chat with pictures of himself."

"What group chat?" You asked in confusion. Bede stood still for a moment and immediately started typing aggressively. "Shit i'm so sorry, I forgot to delete Annette and add you. I'll do it once we get the the stadium. Let's go."

You nodded and quickly finished your comment.

After a long day of preparing for the upcoming gym challenge and training like crazy you sat down in the locker room with Bede. "You didn't go easy on me today (Y/n)." Bede sighed and let scrolled through his social media. You two always went to Opal to eat diner. Opal and Bede lived together of course but Opal adores you too and has offered you multiple times to come live with them, which you all rejected. You wanted to live and take care of yourself, since you are an adult, you weren't in a financial crisis and you also were fine on your own. Ballonlea was just more expensive to live in than Stow-on-Side.

"While we're waiting for Opal to pick us up, add me to that group chat you were talking about, did you forget?" You asked, not looking up from your phone. Bede nodded and you saw the invitation for the group chat pop up.
