Luna was awakening to the sound of her alarm clock. '7:30' is what it read. Luna stretched a lazy hand out to the snooze button and the alarm turned off. Luna went back to sleep, only to have her alarm go off again 10 minutes later. '7:40' was the time. Luna got up and turned her alarm off completely.
She walked into the bathroom and took a shower, brushed her teeth and did her make-up.
She walked back to her room and walked into her closet. 'What am I going to wear today?' she thought to herself.
"Mariana! Help me pick out a good outfit for today!" Luna called to her maid servant. The young woman, only in her mid twenties, came into the large walk-in closet to help Luna find a "swag" outfit, as Luna had said.
"What should it be? Tube top and large black fishnets with a jean jacket and ankle high stiletto boots or net t-shirt crop top and skinny jeans with lace patched holes and black and white high top converse with a cross body mini purse?
"I like your first outfit, Miss Luna." Mariana said plainly. Luna rolled her eyes playfully.
"Mari, you could have said that with some more enthuse." Luna said, making a puppy face.
Luna put on her outfit and made for her drawer where she kept all of her accessories. She pulled out a pair of silver kitty ears studded with jewels.
"Purrfecto." Luna said, adding a purr to perfect. Mariana smiled a tiny smile.
"Maria has already put breakfast on the table. Go, hurry up and eat!" Mariana said, rushing Luna out of the closet.
Downstairs, the cook, Maria Ramirez, was fixing Luna's spot at the table. Luna's mother, Jacqueline, was already seated at the table, taking pineapple chunks and apple slices and cherries and strawberries from the plate in the middle of it.
"Mom! Save some for me!" Luna said to her mother. "You know how much fruit I like with my breakfast. Enough for a big bowl."
Maria put the large plate of eggs, sausage and bacon and a pile of biscuits on top. Luna grabbed a biscuit and took a bite
"Mmm! Maria! This is so good. Who taught you how to make biscuits like this, your mother?"
"Yes baby, my mother taught me. She worked at a cafe where they served the best biscuits. I remember watching my mother make these as well as tortillas. I soon found out that they are the same but different." Maria said, with a small smile on her face.
Luna and her mother finished eating and headed to the door. "What are you forgetting, mija?" Maria said, putting a slight question mark look on her face. Luna walked over to Maria and kissed both of her cheeks.
"That's better. Now, go! You'll be late for school." Maria said, ushering Luna out the door to her car. Luna's car, a white Toyota Camry, was the car she got for her 16th birthday. Luna was popular at her school, but did not have a boyfriend. People wondered about this, since she was the prettiest girl in school. With her long strawberry blonde hair and aqua blue eyes and creamy beige skin, she could make boys and men do a double take.
Luna was driving out of the driveway when she saw her mother run out of the house. "I will be home late tonight. My boss just called and said that all staff has overtime tonight."
"Okay mom, no problem." Luna said, rolling her window up and continued to back out of the driveway. She turned slightly with grace and drove down the road and turned onto the highway.
She was driving for a while when she saw another car at the side of the road. The cars emergency lights were blinking and Luna pulled over to see what the issue was.
There were five boys in the car, all handsome and lean and fit. The driver, a dark blonde with green eyes, got out of the car and looked at Luna with a smirk spreading on his face. His eyes were playful and dare-devilish.
"What's the trouble? Engine acting up?" Luna said and all the boys standing outside the car looked surprised.
"Since when do you know about cars, sweetheart?" the blonde boy asked. He rubbed her shoulder and put his fingers under her chin, forcing her to look up.
"Don't call me sweetheart, and I've known about mechanics all my life thank you very much." Luna said, getting saucy and a little rude because the boy had underestimated her. He backed up and put his hands up in defense.
"Well boys, it seems we have underestimated this beauty. She knows about cars." the blonde boy said.
"You'll have to excuse Nicholas. He can be a bit of a womanizer sometimes. He underestimates the pretty girls." said a soft spoken boy, with silver hair and violet eyes. He seemed sweet, and innocent.
"It's okay. Now will you tell me what's wrong with your car?" Luna said, putting on her most charming face and fluttering her eyelashes.
"The engine won't start." Nicholas said plainly. Luna went over to the car, opened it's hood and immediately, steam started coming out of the hood.
"I can see why. You're overheated. I can quickly adjust a few things so it will cool down faster, because your'e at no loss of water and oil." Luna said, making a full diagnosis of the car's engine.
"And how do you know all of this?" Nicholas asked, confused. Luna looked at him and answered.
"My car is like this a bit the time." Luna said, getting the small tool box out of the trunk of the car and waking back over to the open hood of the car.
"Do you mind taking my jacket?" she asked. The silver haired boy came over and took off her jacket.
"Thank you." Luna said looking at the silver haired boy with a soft glow in her aqua eyes looking into his violet ones.
"Your'e welcome. Oh and by the way, my names Ryan." Ryan said softly. Luna smiled and Ryan smiled back, then, Luna returned to the cars engine, which had stopped steaming. She adjusted a bolt on a pipe and took and old bolt out and put a new one in it's place. All the boys, looked at her in amazement.
Luna closed the hood and then put her tools away. The boys clapped. "Nicholas, you can try starting the car now." Luna told Nicholas.
"Nick is just fine and okay, I'll start the engine."Nicholas said. Luna nodded.
"If I start calling you Nick, will you start calling me by my name, Luna." Luna said, making a compromise.
"Okay, Luna. A deal is a deal." Nick said looking a little serious. Luna waved to the boys and started to walk back to her car. Nicholas called out to her.
"I forgot to introduce you to the other three!" Nick said looking embarrassed. "The red head over there is Jasper. The white blonde is Chris. And last but absolutely not least is Josiah." The black haired boy he pointed to last was leaning on the car. He wore a cotton plaid shirt that was completely unbuttoned, showing his impressive eight pack and perfect pecs.
"Nice to meet you boys. Now, I am really going to be late for school, and I woke up late as it is." Luna said going back to her car and then Ryan stopped her.
"You forgot your jacket." Ryan said, putting Luna's jacket on her, slightly brushing her shoulder when her did so. Doing that made Luna shiver inside and out with excitement. She had never let anyone touch her like this and Ryan made her feel comfortable. Not being able to control herself, Luna kissed Ryan's cheek and she went to her car.
