Thor, his mind screamed as his sight dimmed the pain forgotten as he slipped into darkness completely out of control once again which was very much the norm.
He could hear some one calling his name, he reached for the voice knowing it was where he needed to be.
"It is ok Loki. You are alright." The voice was soft, feminine, a voice he was familiar with.
Loki fought to pull his eyelids open they opened, his green eyes focused on the woman beside where he laid.
"Mother?" He asked. No, it could not possibly be his mother she was..dead.
"Yes, Loki it is me." Frigga smiled down at her son her blue eyes sparkling with unshed tears.
Loki sat up slowly his head spinning slightly as he tried to wrap his head around what was happening.
"I'm dead?" He asked.
"Yes, my son." She frowned.
"Thor?"
"He is fine. A lot has happened."
"I see that, my death for one." Loki ran his hand through his black hair.
"You died protecting your brother and others. I am proud of you my son."
"I got a lot to show for it , my death and my mother's pride." Loki stood and his body swayed Frigga stood as well touching his arm to steady him.
Frigga smiled having missed her son his sarcasm was welcoming to her as was his presence.
Loki leaned forward kissing his mother's cheek tenderly with a smirk on his lips.
"I am glad to see you again mother, I am, it is just a surprise. "
"I know my son."
"And what of Odin?" Loki asked looking around the glimmering room of gold , white stone and marble.
"Your father is on his throne in Valhalla. He is also very proud of you." She watched him walk around the room his hands clasped behind his back.
"I can imagine." Loki could imagine that he had redeemed himself in many eyes and he was content with that. " Now what mother?" Loki turned to face her once again.
"You relax and enjoy the peace here do anything you would like its your time now for eternity."
"An eternity alone." Loki frowned his thoughts flooding with images of Nina, his Nina it was like a stab in the chest. He cringed at the thought of her lying lifeless in his arms because of him bringing her to Thanos attention.
"I'm sorry Loki." Frigga touched his arm in sympathy for his pain.
"What happens to mortals when they die?"
"They lay in suspended animation waiting for their resurrection to their own eternity."
"Is there anyway to reach her?"
"I am not sure. Noone has ever tried to bring a mortal over." Frigga had thought he might ask such a thing but she had also hoped he would not.
"I must know, if I live for eternity here I must have her by my side. If at all possible." He could not think of spending eternity alone without her.
"You will have to speak to your father." Frigga raised and eyebrow at him.
"Wonderful." Loki groaned. Not exactly how he wanted to start his first day of eternity. " I guess I will go and see father no better time then now."
"I will take you to the stables." Frigga touched his arm and in a whirl of color and a blink of darkness they appeared in a large building.
The stable was long, made of the very best wood with a pitched roof and stone floor and smelled of horses and sweet hay. Loki loved the smell and had missed it while being in space. Horses were a passion of his and being able to ride again was a gift.
Frigga walked up to the stable door and whistled softly a large muscular black head came over the gate to nuzzle her hand. Its eyes were gleaming black and intelligent as they looked at her then Loki nickering softly.
"I have kept this mount for you knowing one day you would be here. He will take you to your father he knows the way." Frigga rubbed its nose.
"It is a beauty." Loki smiled scratching between the animals ears. "Mother, when I return I would like to know what I have missed while I was in transition."
"We will speak then, now go and say hello to your father for me." Frigga kissed his cheek and disappeared.
"I certainly will, till later mother" Loki opened the stable door and the horse walked out towering over Loki it's hooves the size of dinner plates.
Loki saddled the beautiful beast with gear hanging over the stable wall and mounted up. The stallion danced under him powerful muscles flexing trying to judge the control of Loki's hands on the reins. Loki led the horse in a trot down the long corridor to a set of double doors that swung open at a move of his hand ,he let the horse break free and burst into the sunshine.
