meet up

You and Mario have been friends for a really long time.  And he just broke up with peach, so you decide to meet up with him to talk to him at a coffee shop.  "y/n I'm so glad you could make it!" Mario says in a cheerful tone. "yeah I'm glad we could see each other again", you say. Mario then pulls out a chair from the table.  You sit down across from him, but Mario can help but stare at you. "M-Mario why are you looking at me like that". you try to look away but he starts to grab your hand tightly. "I wanted to talk to you about something, it's about me and peach". He starts to look down at the ground, then he starts to cry. "Mario are you c-crying". "yeah sorry, god I'm such a big baby". He wipes away his tears as he looks back at you. "I figured out she was sleeping with my brother Luigi". you were in shock that Mario's best friend/ brother has done such an unforgivable thing. "Oh, Mario I'm sorry about that". But a little part of you was kind of happy she cheated. It gave you a chance to be "more than friends" with Mario. You and Mario had a nice conversation after that and you both parted ways. "Y/N I was wondering if we could do this again but maybe at your place". "Of course Mario!".
