The sound of tearful parents and students swarmed the atmosphere around Cassandra Willows. She was sitting peacefully in a train compartment that was empty, except for herself and her trunk.  Cassandra was ready to leave the muggle world, all the hopeless unknowing people had made her feel extra lonely this summer. She looked longingly out the window that began to fog the outside with the smoke of the red steam train. All the parents and the children hugging, waving goodbye, kisses on foreheads and even though she thought this sort of affection was disgusting, she secretly envied it. Her parents didn't pay much attention to her, as they were always busy ordering the house elf or maids to do something or simply being in a mood. Most of the wizarding world knew my name, due to her families money and fame but no one knew how her parents never paid attention to her. She glanced back at the families saying their farewells. The thought of her parents doing something like this was new to her. She generally at meals alone or when she wasn't at Hogwarts, her maids had driven her to kings cross . Sometimes she wondered what it was like though. The aged wizards and witches wishing their children luck for their year, hugging them and kissing their foreheads. Her thoughts were interrupted but the screeching noise of the compartment door hinges as it slid open. 3 people stood at the doorway. Harry Potter standing in the middle, his brown, almost black hair swept messily around his head and he softly smiled at her. To his right was a girl, Hermione Granger, another well known Gryffindor, mostly because she was Harry's best friend but the Ravenclaw students were always jealous of her easy knowledge and high grades, despite the fact that she was muggle born. She could only guess the last person, on Harry's right, Ron Weasley. He was known for also being close friends with Harry but also for his hand me down robes, fiery red hair and freckles that scattered his cheeks.

"may we sit here? All the other compartments are full." Harry said gently, Ron shuffled uncomfortably beside him.

"sure" Cassandra said

"Bloody hell Harry!" Ron exclaimed loudly and jumped from his seat that he recently took. Harry just looked at him questioningly and Hermione turned around and almost jumped from shock herself from putting her trunk on the rack above their heads, she looked at Ron as if she were confused, it seemed Hermione was only confused when she was with the boys because she knew most other things about our secret world. She followed Ron's eyes and as soon as she saw me she gasped and her mouth dropped open but once she saw I had noticed she quickly shut it.

"what?" Harry said, still confused at both their friends reaction to the girl before him.

"do you know who this is?" Hermione tried and failed to whisper to her friend. Slowly sitting down next to him in the same formation, Harry in the middle, Ron to his left and Hermione on his right.

"should I?" he said slowly shaking his head and looking back and forth at each of his friends. Hermione's jaw had dropped once again and Ron's eyes widened.

"I'm Cassandra Willows." she said to him smiling. His lack of knowledge about her was no surprise as he was still new to this hidden world. After all it had only been 2 years. She gave him a warm smile tucking the curly, dark brown hair out her emerald green eyes. Harry still looked at her confused. She giggled a little as he tilted his head to one side

"my parents are famous in the wizarding world." She looked down at her hands as she fiddled with her fingers. No one outside of the manor knew about the lack of childhood Cassandra has. She imagined what it would be like with parents growing up, learning how to fly on the very first broom stick the child had, parents taking away their chocolate frog cards as a punishment when they were being naughty. Even though getting punished wasn't a good thing she was still jealous, at least the parents knew what the child liked best. Her parents didn't know that she was of Slytherins best quidditch player. Cassandra could play any position although she was especially good at chaser. A sting of sadness travelled through her body.

"nice to meet you." Harry said holding his hand out so she could shake it. Cassandra grabbed his hand and a smile spread across her face. Wow, Gryffindors are nice. She thought. She only had very few real friends and very occasionally would she interact with other houses, still knowing they knew full well who she was. Most other Slytherins tried to use her for money or popularity but she saw past their intentions. I sighed to myself and took his hand. The train ride went quicker than she expected, normally she would sit in the corner of the compartment while the other students made small talk while starring.

"well I'm gonna go get changed, I think we'll be there soon." Cassandra said standing up and reaching for her trunk.

"see you in the great hall!" Hermione yelled after her waving goodbye as Cassandra closed the compartment door building horrible noises from the stiff hinges. She smiled to herself and thought of the new year a head of her. She already knew that it was going to be a good year.

Slowly the train halted to a stop with the sudden jolt she bumped into someone,

"oh sorry." She said looking up. His hands on her waist from the slight nudge. His eyes were deep and grey, she could tell he hid a lot of untold secrets within them. The pair stood there for a moment just looking at each other. Within a second he scoffed and walked past her rolling his eyes. Rude. she thought, she  believed him to be Draco Malfoy another Slytherin with a famous family. Although Cassandra had never talked to the boy, they had exchanged a couple of glances and shared a number of classes through out their time at Hogwarts. She'd noticed he would always hangout with other Slytherins and he most certainly despised the other houses, although the whole school knew that by now.

Cassandra continued to snake in and out of the students in the corridor, gaining a couple of open mouths from the first years as she grew closer. She ignored the prying eyes and made her way to the girls lavatories, rolling her eyes.
