On the cold summer night Tanya is on the run. She is being chased by a group of 4 boys. They are her close friends and they are just playing a game of insurgent.

A game of chase where one is on the run in the confines of the boundaries. While the others have to try and catch the insurgent.

Tanya with her head starts bolts down the railroad tracks keeping her balance so as to not make too much noise.

As she is dashing she can hear her friends frantically searching for her and decide to turn around and flee the other way.

In insurgent you have 20 minutes to find the person and either catch or tag the insurgent.

Fortunately for Tanya she is the fastest eight year old in the camp. She can even beat some teenagers.

While Tanya is heading the other way at top speed on the rails of the tracks she hears a shifting sound.

She thinks it's just one of her friends trying to be stealthy and surprise her.

"Ohh how mischievous they are." I better do it first. "Hehe."

With that Tanya climbs up a cable car and looks down at where she heard the shifting sound.

Instead of her friends she sees a bunch of armed men. She realizes that this is a raiding company and she needs to inform her camp but more importantly she needs to tell her friends.

She starts to leave when, bang. A shot fired then bang bang bang. Three more. With Tanya being so close she is disoriented and falls down onto the roof of the cabin.

Her ears are ringing. Though subside in a short instance she still managed to hear what the armed men were saying.

"Are you sure that is all of the brats playing around here?"

"No, there was one more that I saw running ahead of the other brats."

"Doesn't matter R5. We need to take off the camp as soon as possible.R4 you check and make sure that they are dead then regroup with us at the end of the station. R3 you stay behind and secure us an escape route. The rest of you follow me."

"But what about the last brat R1?"

"The last brat doesn't matter. Focus R5 we need to be quick!"

"Alright."

The rest of the group of raiders starts to advance to the end of the station, while one goes and checks on Tanya's friends. He quickly glanced at them and hurried back to his group.

Meanwhile Tanya is frozen in place trying to digest what just happened. After a second she starts to think then she soon calms down.

"A typical day in the life of scavengers." She says in a solemn tone. She then picks herself up and walks over to her friends.

She kneels down beside them and stares at the once lively group. Tears form in her eyes and start to roll down her young cheek.

She is not crying, she is just involuntarily expressing her true feelings. While truly crying inside her heart she knows what she needs to do.

In this world only the strong get to live and as such she will be strong. Gunshots start firing and then the explosions come.

Tanya doesn't care about the camp anymore. Her only attachment was her friend group and as such she will bury them with the most sincerity she can muster from her broken feelings.

After she had dug out the 4 graves she noticed that it was morning, but continued into the late afternoon dragging her friends' corpses into their respective graves.
