{ Together At Last }

Childe placed a kiss ontop of your head before rubbing your back in a effort to comfort you. Your sobbing soon came to a stop as you burried your face into him more. Your grip tightened a bit more, fearing that if you let go, he was simply going to disappear into thin air.

Childe let out a sigh of defeat.

"Oh what have you done to me?" He muttered to himself, though you were indeed able to hear.
He gazed down at your confused expression and let out a soft laugh.
"You've made me all cheesy"

Oh the laugh you would die for.

It was a very rare sound he would make. Even to his siblings. So heartwarming, wholesome, and soft, it was outer worldly.
What he said was true, he was becoming softer.

Only towards you of course.

You also quietly laughed through the tears that were falling down your face. Happy tears this time.
Just as you were about to get up to wipe them away, you felt a warm hand brush your cheeks and wipe your tears away.
"I'll wipe the tears, you stay like this. It's comfortable"
   You could tell he was trying to tease, but honestly, he wasn't wrong. It was indeed comfortable. You two basked in each others preseense for awhile. At the same time absorbing each other's joyful warmth. Such a heartwarming setting that even the Tsaritsa herself could basically burst into tears from pure happiness.
  You smiled as you felt his fingers wipe away the tears, caressing your cheek on occasion. Sometimes lowering his head to kiss your forehead.

   After a few minutes, your emotions were finally able stabilize. Though, who knew when you would burst out crying from pure joy once more.

You were now both just resting. You were resting ontop of him, and he was resting on the bed, having a human blanket. A win win scenario. Very rarely seen nowadays.
   You felt Childe shift a bit, and you lifted your head to stare at him. You felt his hands wrapping around your waist as he shifted you upwards so that you could meet face to face.
Litteraly.
Your faces were inch's apart, you saw him smirk and leaned into you, pressing his lips against yours gently. Perhaps time had stopped, just like how it always does. Drifting into a limbo of love once again for the two of you. Sharing a moment once again. This time, your heart fluttered like never before. You felt your stomach butterflies tense up as the kiss lasted a few seconds longer than anticipated. He parted only a few moments before pressing his lips against you again.
This time, you could sense the neediness.
You hadn't expected any of this. Your body failing you, you slightly collapsed onto him as your lips parted once again.
You, panting slightly as you heard him chuckle.

"Didn't know you were in This weak to my affection Girlie~" he teased
You quickly snapped at him to shut up, which only caused him to tease you more.
The two of you bikered like a married couple.

After a few minutes of recovery and teasing, you both once again just relaxed, and enjoyed each other's aura.
Your head was now rested against his shoulder, his hand around you waist, hugging you.
"I missed this" you whispered, earning a small laugh for Childe.
"Me dominating you or you getting teased?~"
"You ruined the moment" you laughed a bit, flicking his nose. He rolled his eyes and nuzzled his nose onto your cheek.
You felt his grip on you tighten as he leaned further into you. Slowly, his head dropped to the side of your ear and he whispered,
"I missed this too"
You playfully pushed him away, "Taking every opportunity to tease me huh Tartaglia?" You smirked, enjoying his sudden expression of surprise as he heard you call him by that name.

Your smirk only few wider as you saw his cheeks slightly dusted with a shade of pink. He quickly turned sideways and covered this face with his hand.
You laughed.
He glared at you. A evil glint in his eyes.
He swiftly pinned you down and smirked. You instantly grew beet red.
"EEK! Sorry, sorry! I'm sorry!" You squeaked
He released you and laughed. Tears of laughter on the edge of his eyes as he watched you pout in frustration.
You turned around and crossed your arms, huffing a bit. You felt his arms wrap around your waist as he rested his head against your shoulder. You shuttered a bit.
"Don't be mad okay?" He pouted, fake pleading you for forgiveness
"Hmph, alright, alright fine." You played along.
You felt him chuckle against your neck before the mood took a sudden turn.

"Hey.. Y/N?"

You shivered a bit at him calling you by your name, and not some weird nickname, but quickly responded.

"Yeah?"

"I love you..."  You heard him whisper into your neck.

Childe was never known for such extreme cheesyness, but he felt like he had to say it. For the sake of you knowing.
Unlike before. Where he missed the opportunity. Now, He would take every opportunity to make you smile, and confess his true feelings from now on.
You placed a hand ontop of his hand. Gently stroking them.

"Love you too"

You felt Childe smile.
