~Kurapika's Crush?~

When Kurapika was in the shower you were blow drying your hair in your room while you picked out which pjs you were gonna wear. You settled on a sky blue night gown that went down to your mid shin. You told Pairo that he could come in when you were all dressed. You knew he was visually impaired, he confirmed as much earlier, but it still didn't feel right to change with a guy in the room, so you and him agreed that he'd wait in the hall. Kurapika was taking his time in the shower, apparently he was trying to figure out how it worked and according to Pairo, he did that a lot when he comes across and invention hes never seen before. You and Pairo talked for a bit, he told you about their clan, their history, religion, etc. You were very interested. You loved learning and Pairo loved sharing.

Eventually Kurapika came out of the washroom fully dressed and walked over to you and Pairo. "Guess its my turn!" Said Pairo as he grabbed his towel and ran into the washroom, causing him to almost slip. Once he got his balance, he sighed in relief and closed the door. Both Kurapika and you looked at each other and laughed. Then and awkward silence fell between you two. Kurapika was a lot more guarded than Pairo, and didn't seem to be as willing to share. clearly you had to initiate the conversation.

"So why are you and Pairo working so hard to pass this test?"

Your sudden question took Kurapika by surprise. "O-oh" He stuttered. He paused for a while before continuing. "Well...As you know Pairo is visually impaired and his legs are very weak," he starts and you nod, "Well Pairo doesn't remember the reason why, but I do..." He doesn't talk for a few seconds, trying to collect his thoughts into words. You decided not to push him as you waited patiently for him to continue. " When I was younger, there was this incident where I almost fell off a cliff. Pairo fell down instead in an attempt to save me. After that his legs gradually got weaker, as well as his eyesight. However, because of his injuries, Pairo doesn't remember a thing. So I'm taking the test in hopes to find a cure for Pairo's condition." He ended happily, as he lifted his chin a little higher, showing his strong will to fulfill this dream for his friend.

You stared at him in awe. Suddenly he felt your eyes on him, and he blushed as he lowered his chin. You didn't understand why he kept blushing. 'Man he gets flustered easily'. But you ignored that for now and say, "I'm kinda jealous..." You start, not knowing where you were going with this. Kurapika looked at you in shock. "I wish I had friends like you and Pairo. You two are so kind and caring, you're everything I've ever wanted in a friend." Kurapika looked at you and sighed.

"We are your friends." His words seemed to hit you like a warm summer breeze. They were unexpected, yet warm and soothing.

"Really?"

"Of course! You defended us, showed us kindness and were welcoming to two strangers like us. You accepted us for who we were and didn't call us "Demons". In return we told you things we've never told anyone before, because we trust you." He was clearly surprised by what he said, but the words just kinda flowed out, and his face showed that he meant every word. "If that's not friendship, I don't know what is." He said as he smiled warmly towards you.

You melted under his warm smile. Unlike Pairo's warm smile that made you happy as well, Kurapika's made you blush and made your heart skip a beat. His smile was so warm and beautiful, you couldn't help but get lost in his eyes whenever he smiled.... Wait what were you thinking?! you mentally scold yourself as you look away. Great... now you're the one blushing. There's no way you have a crush on Kurapika, there's just no way...

Kurapika's POV:

'Did I really just say that? Its not like me to open up so easily with strangers. But like you said, you were friends now'. She looked you in the eyes as you smiled towards her. You held her gaze for a few seconds before she abruptly looked away. (Little did you know she was blushing because the room was dark at night) You blushed again. What is with you and your blushing around her?! It's not like you liked her or anything... you just found her endearing, but that's all...

You were deep in thought when Pairo came out of the washroom only wearing the towel around his hips. You instantly look towards Y/N who was looking the other way, staring out the window, not having noticed the half naked boy yet. You screamed and tackled Y/N down before she could fully turn around and covered her face with a pillow and you yelled at Pairo to have some decency and to get dressed in the washroom. Pairo dashed back in the bathroom all flustered because he forgot Y/N was in the room. You only look back down to remove the pillow from her face. It was only when you removed the pillow that you realized the position you were in. You were sitting on top of her stomach and her arms and legs were sprawled back to her sides. Your faces were inches apart and she stared at you bewildered. You quickly got off her and bolted into the dining room, your face was as red as a tomato.

"Ah Kurapika was it?" You nodded, keeping your head down to hide your blush behind your hair. "Just in time dear, I just finished dinner. Do you mind calling the others for me?" Miss Tilly asked. You called the others and you all sat together. Miss. Tilly and Y/N sate beside each other while you and Pairo sat across from them. You were conveniently directly across from Y/N who wouldn't look up to meet your eyes once during dinner. Whenever you looked at her, her cheeks and ears would go pink and yours would do the same, accept bright red. Miss Tilly notice and asked "Oh no dear, did you catch a fever?" with worry in her voice. You quickly shook your head and lowered in even more into your food to hide your blush behind your hair again. Miss. Tilly was confused, but Pairo understood. You knew he would tease you about this later.

Your POV:

In your room you three talk a bit more before going to sleep. Suddenly something came to your mind, "Wait Kurapika, if what you said earlier about the test was true and your eyes would stay scarlet because of the medicine if they turned red, how come they aren't red now?" Silence fell between the three of you as Kurapika just started to grasp this realization. "Your right," he said, looking into a mirror. "they're brown!"

"Yea they are! Your welcome!" Pairo said.

"Wait...WHAT?!" You and Kurapika said in unison. Then Pairo explained how he swapped the medicine with water when the elder had given it to them.

"Pairo, " I said, " YOU'RE A GENIUS!" You say pulling him into a warm hug.

Kurapika's POV:

You loved how kindly Y/n treated Pairo. He was your dearest friend, and people usually treated him badly. However, she was different. She was so welcoming and kind to the both of us and you found that endearing... Wait what?!

The next day, you and Pairo left, but before you did Y/N asked you if you would visit once you passed the test. "Of course!" cheered Pairo. Once she heard that she grabbed you both into a group hug and kissed you both on the cheek. "That's a promise okay? Don't break it." She said in a happy yet stern tone. You turned bright red because of the kiss and you dashed towards the bird dragging Pairo with you, before she noticed how red and hot your face got. As you rode away Pairo waves back for the both of you until they were out of view.

"Hey Kurapika, are you sure you don't have a fever?" he turned around towards you (He was in front you were in the back on the bird) he asks sacastically, "Or did you just develop your first crush?" He sneered as he wiggles his eyebrows. You awkwardly cough and look somewhere else as your ears turned pink. Making Pario laugh and tease you more, until you reached you village.

First crush huh...
