Hannah, in Hebrew, is a name that has many interpretations, including "favored by God" or "grace". In the Bible, Hannah was a woman that begged God for a son that she wanted so badly that she nearly went insane, but God gave her Samuel, and Hannah became a woman known for her devout faith and what she was granted through it.

But there are a few significant differences between that Hannah and me. Sure, I was named after that Biblical woman, and I believe that God has granted me with a wonderful life, but I don't see myself begging for a kid any time soon. I also don't have a sister wife, and I'm sixteen.

I do love to write, and read (I practically eat books). Some of my favorites include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Secret Garden, Watership Down, Beautiful Creatures, The Mortal Instruments Series, and anything by John Green. Books, and writing, and words in general, are a beautiful escape.

I'm a nerd, and I'm proud of it. I'm top of my class, A student, the works. I like history, big words, and art (in the general sense, not just in the paint-on-canvas sense). Tchaikovsky and Vivaldi are my favorite composers, and Georgia O'keefe is my favorite artist. I go see The Atlanta Ballet's "The Nutcracker" every year, and my favorite ballet so far is "The Four Seasons".

I love to dance. I started later than most people do, but I've managed to climb the ladder quickly. I've been on pointe for two years now, and I love contemporary dance, but I can't dance hip-hop to save my life. Dance, like books, is an escape from the world and a way for me to relieve just a little bit of the stress that I feel is put on me.

Color guard is my second passion. Spinning flags on a football field in the heat of the year in Georgia is something that I, strangely, love to do. Because dance is a "fend for yourself"-type sport, guard has really taught me the values of being on a team, and let me tell you, it's wonderful.

All of that being said, my writing is why you're here, so enjoy.
