I've struggled with low self esteem, anxiety and depression for a significant duration of my life. During that time, books allowed me to become a part of a world I was incapable of experiencing first hand, due to frequent panic attacks, the fear of which caused me to lock myself away from civilization.  

Several years have passed since then, my mental illness persists but no longer controls my life. I've made friends, as well as lost some, however, I've grown from these experiences. I'm glad that I didn't give up and I'm excited to see what the forthcoming future holds!
