Status: Only 17 days until I have to send Emily's Heart to the editor and it is a huge mess - and I haven't written the end yet! Stressed out (3 days ago)

I'm eager to share my Young Adult fiction with you. In my stories, you'll find strong girls trying to find their way, live an adventure, learn about life and love, and kick some butt along the way. Emily's House is my first novel and I've posted the whole thing here on Wattpad for you to enjoy. Book 2 of the trilogy, Emily's Trial, will be published 10/15/12 & the first 5 chapters are here on Wattpad.

When not writing, blogging, Facebooking, Tweeting, Wattpadding or eating chocolate, I take care of my daughter, feed my dog too many treats, and I can’t resist watching Ancient Aliens, no matter how absurd the show becomes. I believe that chocolate and bacon should be recognized as food groups.

I love travel, good wine, and excellent food shared with family and friends. I was raised on a farm in Ohio, now live in the desert Southwest, but I dream of living in a high rise in a big city.

I never get tired of listening to: How Soon is Now? by the Smiths, Snow Patrol, Cold Play, the Script and pretty much any Alternative music from the 80's.

I never get tired of reading: The Hunger Games, The Game of Thrones, Charles Dickens and anything adventurous, fast-paced and imaginative.

Little known fact about me: On my mother's side, I am descended from Gorm the Old, the first historically recognized King of Denmark, and related to William the Conquerer, the "Bastard" King (my ancestor was William's half sister). Near as I can tell, my female ancestors married badly - that's how a lineage of Kings, Queens, noblemen and knights ended up with me!!

@HappyMidas :-D I'm so happy that you enjoyed Emily's House AND it's so awesome that you peeled the onion and found resonance with the deeper layers of the book.
There are so many lovely mysteries in this beautiful cosmos and I'm always looking for the connections between things. So in my view, physics and metaphysics aren't as far apart as some seem to think.

Hi there@NatalieWright_ . I loved reading your book "Emily's House"... I was hooked from the start and couldn't believe it was over....Waiting for payday before I go buy the second book (student life!)!!! yay!! excited :)

Btw, this is gonna sound realllly weird, but the concepts of Akasha, the web, and being one, and being in every space and no space- these concepts are not just concepts, and m guessing you know that right? there is a whole philosophy and methodology that people can train to do this, but I'm gonna stop before I get recommendations for the loony bin, cos i have yet to shed the desire of being considered sane.


Loved the book...and the philosophy in it...andthe theme (it was way too close to reality for comfort at times....but well, i believe what i choose to_and it is my choice alone)
