I haven't said hi to everyone for a while, so "hi!" How are you doing? Anyone read anything really good on Wattpad recently? If so, reply and I'll try to check it out this week (between rounds of smashing deadra with my broadsword on Elder Scrolls online—oh, and writing of course!).

Hey! I like your work and I'm one of your fan. So, I have a question for you. Could you tell me how did you get followers?

jason_artiston

@jason_artiston Sorry! Natalie I have a doubt. do you have to be a pro on English grammar to write something?

@jason_artiston Hi Jason! Well, it takes a while. And I've had help from Wattpad admin. For example, they chose to feature my first novel, Emily's House, back in 2012 and it quickly got a lot of reads. Went up to over 1 million in about 9 months (now over 2 million). If I hadn't gotten featured, I wouldn't have this many followers.
So without being featured, the best thing to do is to interact with people. Read their stories, comment, share. Be sincere and find work you truly like and share it, etc. Try to connect with people who are creating/sharing things similar to what you write.
The other thing is to write good stuff and polish it (don't post first draft stuff). If you write good stuff that people want to read, that helps too.
Hope this helps :-) Good luck! And thanks for following.
