Adam Robert

I am Adam (Robert) YAMEY, born in London, England .

I attended Highgate School in north London. After completing a Ph D in mammalian physiology at University College London, I qualified as a dental surgeon. I have been in general dental practice since 1982.

In 2010, I published "Aliwal", a novel set mainly in the Cape Colony during the 1850s and 1860s.

This September (2012), I published "Rogue of Rouxville", which is set  in the (former) Orange Free State during the 1870s.

Both novels are loosely based on my extensive research into the history of my extended family: "ALIWAL" more than "ROGUE OF ROUXVILLE".

I have published a number of photographic essays, and ALSO I have just published a book about my travels in the Balkans in the 1980s. It is called "SCRABBLE WITH SLIVOVITZ" I have also written a book about the little known country of Albania - "ALBANIA ON MY MIND"

I am married, and we have a daughter.
