Losing Battle
Caught in a web of lies,
Trapped by shattered dreams
Life seems unfair
Nothing ever is what it seems
Promises now empty and broken
No longer handing out the ropes
Endless fighting in this losing battle
Repeatedly hit in the face by reality
Wishes never to come true
Trust a long lost activity
Faith never seemed so meaningless
Crying because of what will never be
