There used to be no path

I was lost in every possible way

No signs and no directions

I was stuck, couldn't leave

Against my will, forced to stay

Time and time passed by, the end coming near

The light at the end of the tunnel had almost disappeared

When along came a stranger, he helped me out

Handing me a map of the endless road in front of me

I followed the lines

I walked ahead

I took the right turns,

Did as was asked

Though, nothing ever happened

Then all of a sudden, everything changed

Relieved, ecstatic and elevated

A sight so breath-taking

Like a present, heaven-sent

The sky colored once again

Instantly, a piece of art it became

Simply because you appeared

Waiting for me at the horizon

Love and happiness

My final destination
