Fate's P.O.V.

When mom left I continued to observe my father who was leaning against a wall. He had a creepy smirk on and was casually listening to the conversation. I wanted a better look so I snuck up to one of the bushes under the living room window and peeked my head through. It seems everyone was rough housing and having fun. I watched them for 30 minutes before a chameleon came on the window sill and stared at me. I was curious and confused about this creature. I only read about them in books, but never actually seen one before. I reached out my hand slowly and tried to pet it. It didn't move and stared at me with those beady eyes of his.

"Hey little guy" I softly whispered trying not to gain the attention of the people in the house

The chameleon seems to have decided something and climbed on my hand and makes its way up my arm before laying on my shoulder and wrapping its tail around my neck

"*giggle*, I'm gonna call you greeny. Cause your green!" I smiled happily

For some reason I thought I saw him roll his eyes at the name I gave him. That's not possible though, right? Anyway I've watched them long enough and went to go search for my mom around the neighborhood. Before I could even start my search I heard a loud shout.

"DEMETRI!"

"I'm gonna guess that's mom" I sweatdropped and started running towards the shout before I came in front of a hospital. I wanted to go inside and find her, but I decided not to risk moms furry. So I waited.

And waited

And waited

.........

"Ugh, whats taking her so long" I complained

*sigh*

'Whatever Im going in' I thought annoyed

I asked the front lady if she has seen someone who looks like me and she didn't answer me and was reluctant, but with my amazing superpower *puppy dog eyes* I convinced her to let me in. when I reached the room she is supposed to be in it was oddly quiet. I was quite nervous but slowly opened the door.

"What the" I mumbled astounded

In front of me was my mom sitting in an office chair drinking iced coffee and reading love fantasy. The weirdest thing is Dr.Shamal dangling upside down from the ceiling in the corner. He was wrapped like a cocoon and was crying to be let down.

*sigh*

"Typical mother" I grumbled before walking in front of her

"Hm?" She questioned before lowering her book and laying her eyes on me

"Ah, Fate, what are you doing here. I thou- AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She started to question before she fell off the chair and screamed with a shocked face

She peeked her head over the desk with a pale face and shakingly pointed to Greeny on my shoulder

"What the heck are you doing with him!!" She shouted nervously

"What? You know this chameleon" I said confused

"YES! Now leave it and let's run" She said standing up fast and grabbing Greenie's tail and throwing him out the window.

"GREENY!" I shouted and ran to the window and looked down to see him perfectly fine on the ground

"Whew, that scared me" I sighed in relief before turning and glaring at mom

"What the heck! Why'd you throw him out the window" I yelled at her

"Do you even know whos chameleon that is" She said in a low and dangerous tone

"No?" I said

"That's Reborns pet" She said walking towards me and grabbing my hand

"What!" I shouted afraid now

'Does that me he's found us' I thought scared

"We need to leave now before he catches up to us. He definitely sent the chameleon to keep an eye on us" Mom quickly said while dragging me out of the hospital

I didn't answer back and obediently followed her all the way to the airport. We were about to board the plane when I felt a chill go up my spine.

"Ciao, Alex" I heard a squeaky voice say

I turned my head, but before I could get a good look I was pulled into the plane by a frantic Alex who gave the little person the middle finger. I was confused before realization dawned on me

"That was Reborn" I asked her

"He was so small" I stated

I was whacked on the back of my head

"Ow" I clutched my head

"Don't ever underestimate someone based on what they look like. This world is filled with strong people. Even if you think they are weaker then you don't hold back still, because you never know what someone might be hiding. Understand" She said to me seriously

'Wow, I've never seen her so serious before' I thought amazed,' she's so cool' I thought with sparkly eyes'

"Yes mom. I understand" I answered nodding my head

She smiled at me and ruffled my hair

"Good" She seemed pleased with my answer
