"Alex!" Timoteo ran over to Alex and was startled to see her cradling a dead Rose

Timoteo solemnly looks on and keeps quiet. He kneels down and brings Alex into a hug. Alex doesn't move and stares off into the distance for a minute before looking up at him.

"Oldy"

Alex's cracked voice broke Timoteo's heart.

"Its okay Im here" He soothed her

"I did this. This is my fault!" She said angrily

"No! This is not your fault. Things happen, you can't predict anything" He said sternly

'I guess he's right, I can't predict reality. I knew the Tv show, but things are different in real life. Sphynx and Demetri are just two examples' I thought sadly

I nod my head and wrap my arms around him for comfort. He rubs my back calmly.

'I need to steel myself. I cant keep convincing myself that everything will be fine in the end. I can't keep being careless. Talking to mafia groups. Taking everything as a joke or a simple pass time to get rid of my boredom' I thought narrowing my eyes with determination

Timeskip

It's been a week since Rose's death and Im at her funeral with Iemitsu, Timoteo, Demetri, Fate, Extras, and Xanxus

He was heartbroken when he heard the news. No one mentioned it but they were getting really close. Currently he is staring blankly at her grave. I don't blame him, I'm doing the same thing.

'I can't believe she's gone. Hahaha, is this what losing someone special feels like' I thought bitterly

*sniff*

I look over and see Fate make her way over to me with tear stained cheeks

"Mom, why did Aunty leave" Fate asks clutching on my dress crying

I look at her and put on the best smile I can and kneel down to her height

"Darling, Aunty Rosa is in a better place now" I try to do what I've seen in movies but it doesn't seem to work

"Mom I know what death is. I want to know how she died" Fate said seriously

I look at her to see if shes serious

*sigh*

"Why do I have such a smart child" I mumbled proudly to myself

I nod my head to her statement

"Rose died fighting the enemy. I....I was caught off guard and she was struck with a sword. She died smiling though" I said sadly but smiled at the end

Fate nodded her head trying to hold in her tears

"No. Cry" I said to her and pulled her into a hug

Fate broke down and started bawling her eyes out while the rest left. Only Xanxus and us are left.

Fate falls asleep in my arms a minute later and I hoist her up onto my hip standing. I look at Xanxus.

"We should head back now" I told him

He glance at me and snarled

"Shut up Trash"

I gave him a blank stare and walked up to him. He didn't lose his snarl and I kicked him in the gut hard.

"Arg" He groaned clutching his stomach

"Come on" I said to him walking away

I'm 10 feet away when I hear footsteps following behind me

I smile sadly

'I'll keep him going, Rose' I thought looking up at the sky

Timeskip

I took a break from missions and started spending more time with Fate. I signed her up early for public school and she has made a few friends. Some of them seem familiar.

"Haha, Fate let's play baseball" Jack called

I looked at him and he's smiling goofily

*sigh*

See what I mean. Anyway I gave Xanxus some space to think, but made sure I talked to him after a couple of days. I'm not letting himself think depressing thoughts all the time. He seems a little better, that's good I guess.

I also asked Timoteo for Murkuros number since I faced reality. I figured he'd have it since you know.....he literally knows everything. I'm not gonna play around and wait for the inheritance. I'm not going to risk anything.

I teased him smiling to myself

I finished and put my phone away in satisfaction

*sigh*

Yes I know I said I wouldn't risk anything, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna ruin my fun. Hahaha it's hilarious to hear how furious he is.

"Mom, come play with us" Fate shouted

"Coming" I got up and left
