At the dinner,kate was getting the orders of one of the costumers when Linda came inside of the store looking quite bright and happy,more then usual actually.

not thinking anything suspicious she went back to her chores after greeting her.

"what did you do this time linda?"asked joe to his little minx of a wife.

"me?!!!" she replied,dramatically looking over to her husband"nothing at all,why would you ask me that question?"

"because i know you,when you get that look on your face" replied joe back to her

"which one?" asked linda maliciously

"like a cat who'd just swallowed a mouse" said joe

Kate unaware of the exchange between husband and wife brought the customer his order and when back to cleaning the tables,ignoring that not too far from her,sitting on the table at the corner,someone was observing her.

Christian pov

she'd lost so much weight ,he thought to himself his heart squeezing,his eyes hungrily drinking at just the sight of her. She was paller then usual,her face gaunt.

she straightened herself and he was able to see the soft slope of her baby bump, still to him she was the most magnificent woman he's ever seen,she looked fragile,she needed to be take care of.he promised himself that he would do his best not to make those beautiful green eyes shed  a tear anymore.

not being able to wait any longer,he cleared his throat in order to attract her attention

"excuse-me ,miss...?"

at the sound of the voice,kate turn her head in its direction.

unconsciously droping the plates she had in her hand,her eyes met a pair of unsettling darker eyes,looking straight at her

"no" she whispered"it can't be, it can't be....."

she did not finish her sentence,blackness close all around her and she lost consciousness.

Christian leapt forward,catching her in his arm before she hit the floor.

hearing all the commotion outside,linda and joe rush to the front to see what this all was about.

"oh dear,when i told you to come to see her,i did not tell you to kill her" said linda to christian at the sight of kate's body lying motionless in his arms.

"she is not dead,just unconscious,is there anywhere i can lay her down till she comes back to herself?" he asked them.

"follow me"replied joe,going up the stairs to kate's room 'here just lay her there " he added,pointing her bed.

"maybe i should stay with her"said linda

taking her hand softly,her husband shook his head to her

"it's their life linda ,their battle,they should be able to sort things out by themselves' he said to her , then tugging her down the stairs,turning on last time he looked at christian

"she is worth every diamonds in this world,sir,she is like my daughter,break her heart one more time and i will break you,understand?" he said to christian

"yes sir" he replied back

"damn joe" said linda to her husband in a squeaking tone"that was sooo ...."

christian turn his attention toward the woman lying on the bed.

he tenderly pushed back some of the hair falling on her face.

her eyes fluttered ope,looking straight at him

"oh gosh,it is you" she said ,her voice shaking" what are you doing here christian?"

"i coudn't stay away from you kate"he said

taking every detail of him ,she remarked that he'd also lost weight ,his facial bones gaunt in his face,

he had a two days beard growing ,his hair was a mess and there was dark circle under his eyes,not that she was complaining,he looked as sexy as ever.

remembering the events that has caused her to flee France,her eyes narrowed at him

"how is Manon"she asked him,pulling away from him

"kate ,i want you to listen to me and listen good,nothing happen" he sounded desperate,putting his hands on his hair,messing them up more,kate feel the urge to push the curls falling on his face away,to plunge her hands in his hair and just grab him and kiss him with all she was worth

"she was never part of my life,true we'd been fooling around,but,b-but that was way before i met you

,i swear to you kate that since i met you,it's only been you kate , always you, in my dream,in my mind,all around me. i have been in hell and back since you left me kate"

taking her hands in his ,he went on his knees,he had tears in his eyes

'please kate I'm sorry,i took you for granted , it won't happen again ,i will make sure that if you take me back to make you see that im worthy of you,i will prove it to kate, please don't leave me, please take me back,life without you is not worth living"

'what are you asking from me christian"she asked,her voice husky" what do you want?" she added not sure she was hearing him right.

"i want you back in my life kate,not only because i desire you but also because i.... i love you,kate"

he said warily

"what! "she said,her eyes round as two cup .

"i love you kate,will you do me the Honor of marrying me?" he asked her

"wait,is it because I'm pregnant?" she asked him suspiciously

"did you hear what i said kate,i love you,and i want to be a part of your life,not because you are pregnant but because i love you,i wanted to ask you the night you flee the house"

"really? " she asked,not wanting to believe him yet,but hope swelling in her chest at the words he said

he said that he loved her!!!! LOVE HER!!!!! who knew that he was capable of loving her,her,kate

"so,what is your answer??" he asked impatiently

there he was ,her old arrogant,full of pride, christian, and she would not have him any other way

"Yes!!!!!,yes i will marry you" she said ,jumping on him,laughing and crying at the same time

the ring he gave her was a huge ruby in a heart form,surrounded but pink diamonds on a white gold band.

"So,what do you say when someone say they love you?' he asked her gruffly

"thank you" replied kate cheekily to him

"Kate" he said menacingly

"oh relax old grumpy bear" she said the looking straight at him ,just before pressing her lips on his she said the words that he so desired her to say

"I love you too".....
