The prince sat as calmly as he could beside his wife's bed.
"How are you feeling Mary?" He asked
"I'm fine," she replied "but my time is near, you must wait outside."
Jake nodded and, kissing her hand, left Mary to the care of her nurses.
He waited in the hallway right beside the door and when he heard a babies squeal he smiled.
The nurse opened the door and nearly got knocked over as Jake ran to his wifes side once again.
Mary looked up at him with tears on her cheeks.
"What's wrong!?" Jake asked
"Nothing. I'm just so very happy." Mary explained, crying more tears of joy.
"You got the girl you wanted then?" Jake grinned
"No Jake, we've had twins!" Mary laughed, holding up the cutest baby boy and girl Jake had ever seen.
The prince and princess both smiled down at their newborn children as the bells rang in the distance, they couldn't have been happier.
