It was difficult to make one's path their own when there was one already set in stone for them. Like princes in line to be kings, they follow a rigid list of steps in order to maintain the best possible place.

    Louis Nox didn't know what it was like to have everything handed to him, a silver platter before his eyes. His hands were stained from work, pouring his thoughts out onto parchment as his mind went careening towards the stars. When a Slytherin came to him in the dead of night, he finally found out what it was like to be handed something, free of charge.

     Slytherin prince Draco Malfoy had some practice as he claimed to be so sure of himself. When he had the best of the absolute best, it was difficult to accustom himself to anything he found foreign to him. Then he got taken aback by a Quidditch seeker wrapped in sapphire and then he instantly felt the ground beneath him begin to shift.

     But when it came to having something so special in their hands, it was only a matter of time before they figured out it all came with a cost.
