The One That Got Away (Percico)

Chapter 21

-Nico-

*After Will leaves*

"What the actual fuck was that, Percy?" Nico yelled. Percy sat on the couch, his head bowed, as Nico paced the living room, thinking about what he just saw. "Why did you kiss him?"

"I-I didn't." Percy said quietly, his sea green eyes shattered and broken as Nico shouted profanities, some in Italian, quite loudly. "Fucking hell, Percy! Cazzo l 'ho visto con o miei occhi! Non dirmi che non ho visto le tue fottute labbra sulle sue! smetti di mentirmi e dimmi la sporca verità!"

Percy winced at Nico's loud voice, his green eyes brimming with tears. "I didn't kiss him, Nico. He kissed me, I swear." He looked at Nico pleadingly.

Nico growled in frustration, running his fingers through his hair.

"Nico, please, you have to believe me. I wouldn't kiss anybody when I'm in a relationship, especially not with you. I'd never to anything to hurt you." Percy's voice was like a broken whisper, soft and gentle yet full of pain and suffering.

He got up from the couch and moved towards Nico, but Nico held his hand out in front of himself. "Don't." He said warningly. "Stay where you are, don't come near me."

Percy dropped his arms, pain written across his features as tears fell down his face. It killed Nico to see him like this, it absolutely broke him inside. But he'd kissed Will, hadn't he?

"I'm gonna go." Nico said, walking out of the living room and leaving Percy a sobbing, broken mess.

-

"Nico?" Will said from the other end of the line.

"Will, I'm so sorry about Percy today, I know he kissed you."

"Um, about that."

"I didn't think he'd do it, he's usually loyal and stuff and I'm just sorry for his behaviour-"

"Nico, I kissed him."

".....What?"

"I kissed him, I'm really sorry. Don't blame Percy. He didn't do anything wrong. I have to go, remember, don't blame Percy." Will hung up, leaving Nico in a state of shock.

Nico padded down the stairs and into the living room, where he saw Percy curled up in a ball on the couch and Blackjack sleeping at his ankles. He heard light sniffles and hiccups coming from the older boy, which was evident he'd been crying more since Nico stormed out. He felt horrible.

"Percy?" Nico whispered, wrapping his arms around himself. Percy looked up, his green eyes bloodshot and shattered. "N-N-Nico?" He hiccuped.

Nico bit his lip to keep a sob from escaping. "Will told me everything."

Percy looked back down. "S-So he told you...that it wasn't me."

Nico nodded guiltily, biting his lip harder. "Yeah." Percy nodded, looking back up at Nico, who now kneeled down and stared into Percy's broken eyes.

"Percy, I'm so fucking sorry for blaming you. I jumped to conclusions and didn't believe you, the person I treasure and love most in the world. I'm so sorry, and I know you probably won't forgive me but-" Nico was cut off as Percy caught his lips in a sweet, gentle kiss.

"I-I forgive you, just d-don't scare me again by screaming at me in Italian." Percy laughed half-heartedly, a hiccup following. He pulled Nico into his lap and Nico pulled a blanket from behind the couch.

"When was the last time we slept in a bed?" Nico smiled slightly. Percy laughed softly and shook his head, wrapping his arms around Nico's waist and nuzzling his head into the crook of Nico's neck. Nico's small arms cliched Percy's shirt and pulled him closer as Nico buried his face into his chest, falling asleep with Percy on his mind.

-Hades- (A/N: OHHHHH)

Hades pulled up his car onto his drive and saw the living room lights still on. 'Those dam kids,' he thought. 'Doing the nasty on my couch and wasting my energy, do they know how much energy costs? They probably don't, considering how the kitchen lights are on too, wow, do they think I'm made of money-'

"Hades darling, are you okay? You're mumbling to yourself." Maria smiled gently. Hades blinked and snapped out of his thoughts. "I'm fine, my love. Just thinking of how our Nico is doing."

Maria nodded and turned around to Sally, Paul and Bianca (who they had picked up from Zoe's on the way back) and smiled brightly. "So, we're home. Let's go and see the boys." She giggled. Hades grumbled and climbed out of the car, followed by the other adults and his daughter.

Unlocking the front door and shrugging his jacket off, Hades peeked into the living room. He saw his son and Percy snuggled together with a dog- wait, a dog? 'I swear, if I find one animal hair on my floor,' Hades thought.

He moved closer and lifted the blanket up, seeing Percy's arms holding Nico protectively and Nico curled into Percy's chest. Hades smirked slyly. "Maria, Sally, Paul, come and see this. Our sons are cuddling."
