The One That Got Away (Percico)

Chapter 17

-Nico-

"I-I thought you were kidnapped or something so I just got really worried." Nico explained, tracing his finger along the rim of his cup of tea.

Percy sipped his coffee. "Well, I'm okay, and I'm safe. You don't need to worry about anything." He smiled reassuringly.

Nico nodded and smiled back weakly, taking another sip of his tea and loving the way it soothed his sore throat.

"Nico? Can I ask you a question?" Percy asked suddenly. Nico looked up in surprise, but nodded again slowly. "Sure."

Percy cleared his throat, "Um, who's this guy named Will Solace?"

Nico coughed indignantly, not catching Percy's gaze, "He's an old friend. Reyna always says that he has this huge crush on me, but I don't believe it. He hasn't said or tried anything," He set his tea on the coffee table next to him.

Percy took in this new information, "Do you like him?"

Nico seemed shocked for a moment, but shook his head, "He's cute, but he's not my type." (A/N: NOW WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THAT BEFORE HMM PLOT TWIST)

Percy bit his lip, "Okay."

Nico titled his head to the side, his eyes shining, "You weren't...jealous, were you?"

Percy's eyes widened, "Uh, maybe a little bit."

"Aww, that's sweet. Don't worry Perce, he could never take me away from you." Nico chuckled and kissed Percy's cheek, who was blushing profusely.

"Also, I have another question." Percy said, his voice quiet. Nico nodded, "Go ahead."

"What are we? I mean, are we together, or..?" Percy's blush deepened even further.

Nico licked his lips, "Um, I don't know. We haven't asked each other yet."

Percy's lips curled into a smile and he got down onto the carpet and kneeled between Nico's knees, "Nico di Angelo, would you do me the pleasure of being my boyfriend?"

Nico smiles widely and he nodded quickly, "Of course I would." He threw his arms around Percy's neck and kissed him deeply, Percy responding immediately. The kiss wasn't full of lust or wasn't going to lead to anything, it was full of love and compassion for each other.

Nico broke away, breathless, "Do we have anything in for dinner tonight?" He asked. Percy thought for a moment, but then shook his head, "I don't think so, should we head to the shops?"

Nico nodded and said, "Yeah. Let's go get ready." Before pulling Percy into another kiss.

*At...Walmart? Target? Is that the American equivalent to Asda or Tesco? I'm so confused help I'm English*

"Percy, put the blue food dye down. We've already got 4 tubes of it." Nico sighed, pushing the trolley to the next isle.

Percy appeared around the corner with a pout on his lips, "You can never have to much food blue food dye, love."

Nico laughed and blushed at his new nickname, reaching up to ruffle Percy's hair, which wasn't hard since he'd grown lots. "You're so childish, Perce."

"I know, but you get used to it." Said a female voice. Both Nico and Percy turned around to find Annabeth and Reyna, both with faint blushes on their cheeks, holding hands.

Percy raised his eyebrows and smirked, "Well then, look who got her dream girl."

Annabeth blushed deeper and glared at Percy, stepping closer and letting go of Reyna's hand to bring it up threateningly to Percy's face, who couldn't stop laughing. Both Reyna and Nico exchanged glances and shrugged.

"How's it going with your dream boy then?" Annabeth countered. Percy blushed and moved back behind Nico. Annabeth's lips curled up into a smirk.

"So," Nico spoke up. "You girls are together then?" He smiled as Reyna nodded and smiled widely. "You bet." She giggled, lacing her fingers back through her girlfriend's. "How about you boys then?"

Nico's smiled grew and he felt Percy's arms wrap around his shoulder protectively, tilting Nico's head to kiss his lips softly, which got coos from other people walking around the shops. Some even whispered things like 'Oh my gosh, I ship it.', 'Look, it's Yaoi at its best.' or 'OTP', whatever that meant.

"He's all mine." Percy said when the kiss broke, looking at Nico affectionately. Reyna and Annabeth started open mouthed. "Guys, that was hot." Annabeth finally said. Percy and Nico burst out laughing.

*At home*

"Goddammit! Just love eachother already!"

"Nico, calm down. I bet John and Sherlock already do love each other secretly."

"But I want it Canon!"

"Nico, calm down."

"Canon!"

Percy sighed and tightened his arms around his boyfriend's bare waist, nuzzling his head into his neck. Nico squirmed and giggled, "Perce, that tickles,"

They were wearing nothing but boxers each, and the feel of Nico's soft skin against Percy's sent electric shivers throughout Percy's body.

Percy started giggling sleepily. "Nico, m'tired, let's go to sleep."

"Just one more episode," Nico pleaded, but Percy was already gone, sleeping peacefully. Nico smiled at the sight of his sleeping boyfriend and turned off the TV, pulling the blanket around them tighter and he snuggled into Percy's chest, with his last thought before falling asleep, 'Maybe things will start going okay for me now.'
