Ginny

It was Quidditch practice a few weeks after our return and I couldn't wait. When I got to it, it went horrible. The beaters were horrible. Kirke hit himself in the head with his bat. Angelina, Demelza and Katie left disappointed while Ron took Kirke to the hospital. The rest dispersed. I felt like I could leave but we still had an hour or so for the pitch and I thought I could have some fun. I'd always wanted to do an insane thing with the broom and I knew just what to try. Steadying my broom to my knee level by the ground, I inhaled a deep breath. My hands trembled but I knew I wanted to try. Putting one foot on it, the broom tipped back slightly and I grunted. I had to jump on it. Gulping, I bit my lip and jumped. I almost fell on my back, getting my feet on the broom. I'd wanted to do it since Ron told me that Harry was able to do it, first year.

"Okay. Okay."

"Ginny, what are-" I heard Hermoine's voice and almost fell but controlled. Flying slowly around, still low to the ground, I turned to find Hermoine and Harry standing, "Hi." I chuckled.

"What are you doing?" Hermoine looked worried.

"Oh, I've got time, thought I'd try something." I gulped. Harry was smirking. Thinking of the broomstick under my toes, I thought of how to raise it but it did as soon as I wished to raise. I flew higher and above, feeling the wind blow through my hair when suddenly... no ground came under my feet. I was falling back to the ground and then I heard the verse.

"Arestro Momentum." I landed slowly to the ground and watched Hermoine tucking her wand back. I snickered, shaking my head and getting to my feet. My broom landed back to the ground and I held it.

"Thank you." I chuckled.

"You could've broken something." She shook her head.

"I'm fine." I laughed, "So, What is it? Were you guys looking for me?"

"Yeah. Dumbledore asked me to give this to you." Hermoine gave me a letter. With Harry's expression, I could tell he didn't know.

"Oh, thank you." I huffed, opening it, "He wants to see me. I have to go. Thanks Hermoine. Bye, Harry!" And I ran off to change.

"Ah, Ginerva, come in." Professor Dumbledore let me in. He wasnt alone. There was a man, probably mid twenties, standing in a tall purple robe. He turned and i recognized him immediately.

"Darcy!" I laughed, walking in, holding back the excitement. Professor Dumbledore smiled, writing something on the paper. Darcy tapped my back as we waited for him to speak. Darcy Kavanagh was a tall, blonde man. Piercing dark eyes and a tall figure were his advantages as a man and a wizard. Charming but slightly arrogant about it. We'd worked together over the summer. He was Kingsley's Apprentice back in the day but now was a well designed Auror.

"Ginerva, I've asked Mr. Kavanagh here to accompany you on your trip to Dufftown."

"Oh." I'd recently been informed of Peter Pettigrew and a few other followers of Voldemort's being sighted there.

"Like old times." He leaned in, muttering. I smirked. It was like old times.

"When do we leave, sir?" I asked.

"That's for you and Mr. Darcy to decide but I suggest soon."

"Okay." I nodded.

I looked him up and down and then an idea popped in my head.

"Professor, is it alright if I take Kavanagh to a meet tonight?" I asked.

"As you please." He gave his smile and let us go. It was already seven in the evening and I knew the meeting'd already started. The trick was to dodge Umbridge and her minions; Malfoy, Crabbe, Gowle, Pansy, another Slytherin student i didnt know and Mr. Filch.
