september weather was almost as weird as april weather, it was as if the one deciding it didn't know what to do with such a huge responsibility so he just let it rain a couple minutes and then let it be so hot as if it was mid july.

and right now, it was cloudy.

"fuck," yuri whispered under his breath, pulling away from eden and loosening the grip on his waist.
eden flinched at the sudden loss of body contact and stared at the dark haired with raised eyebrows.

"fuck, fuck, fuck, you distracted me," he cursed and ruffled his hair, almost stumbling against the ice cream box on the floor that was probably already melted.

eden widened his eyes. "what?" he asked and couldn't help but smile at the others clumsiness as he bent down to reach for the box, nearly tripping over his own feet again.

he quickly ran to the kitchen and threw it into the fridge before walking back to eden.
"we have to go check up on matio, he hasn't picked up any of his phone calls."

eden flinched again.
"so he did actually go visit his brother?"

yuri had to stop himself from rolling his eyes.
"you basically told him where he was, of course did he go."

"and i'm assuming it didn't go well."

eden looked himself up and down before searching for yuri's face again who had already thrown on his thin coat and held the door open for the other.

"i don't think it did, i hope we're not too late," the dark haired answered, eden slipped into his ugly sandals and then yelled to eli that they would be back in a few minutes.

but the red haired was just laying on his bed, his earphones on full volume as he tried to deal with getting his heart broken once again.
but he would never try anything to break the two apart.

yuri didn't know where matio lived, but eden somehow did, and they sped farther into the center of the city, he lived quite close to the park with the big fountain.

his house was expensive, it was big and it was dark. the walls were black, the door was a cold metal and the scent of expensive perfume filled the air as the men exited the vehicle after a five minute drive.

there were also mansion like houses next to it, some looked like actual castles.
it was crazy how much money he made with just being an assistant.

they tried ringing the doorbell three times, but three times there was no answer.
eden yelled into the door five times.

"matio? are you there?"

and five times, there was no answer.

they also didn't hear a single sound from inside, so, yuri decided to walk around the black walls and over the big fence into his garden.
he cut his ankle open, but at the moment he didn't mind, he had a very bad feeling about what was going on inside.

with a smooth movement, he helped eden to climb over the fence as well and caught him swiftly in his arms.
just out of luck, the door to the terrace was open, the curtains blew in the wind.

"matio?" eden tried for the sixth time before stepping inside.

no answer.

he looked over at yuri who had his thick brows furrowed, he looked worried.
and yuri had an amazing gut feeling.

"are you here?" the black haired voiced out, his voice was quiet so that the neighbors wouldn't suspect anything.

"why was the balcony door open?" yuri asked himself as he followed the younger into the living room.
it was pitchblack. no sounds, all the blinds were closed so not a single drop of light could come in.

and it was so quiet eden started to tremble and reached back for yuri's slender hand.

and the older held on tightly as they walked through
the big hallway, the floor was out of white marble, but it was still way too dark to see anything.
even too dark to find the light switch.

and if yuri and his clumsiness hadn't bumped against it, they would have walked through that eternal darkness the whole time.

the whole room was suddenly illuminated by a yellowish light coming from the huge ceiling light that looked like a wrong shaped banana.

black, spiral staircases led up into the second floor.
"okay, let's split up-"
yuri couldn't even finish his sentence, eden refused immediately and wrapped his fingers around the others tighter.

the man smiled and so they both went up the stairs together with wobbly knees.
the second floor was, well, dark.

but yuri could find the light switch this time.

one of the many black doors was open, so he followed eden as he made a few brave steps towards it.

"mat-io?"
nothing.

it was the bathroom.
the mirror was broken, pieces of the glass laying around on the tiles.

both sucked in a sharp breath and looked at each other with worried eyes.

then, there was a very soft sound of something rumbling.

"eden?" a broken voice called from somewhere to the left.
it was matio, he sounded like he hadn't spoken in many weeks.

with their hands still intertwined, they rushed to the location of the sound.
"where are you?" eden yelled back and matio answered with a soft 'here' so they knew where to go.

eden let go of yuri's hand and stepped into the room.

it smelt like a mix of sweat, alcohol and used up oxygen.
there was no fresh air left and it was equally as dark as in the living room.

the black haired searched the wall for the light and when he did and the room lit up, he didn't believe what he saw.

matio sitting cross legged on the floor. his hair greasy, the t-shirt was so full of sweat it clung to his chest like a second skin.
and the eyebags were so deep and violet, they looked like they took up his entire face.

"oh my god," the black haired whispered and tumbled over to the assistant, over the pile of clothes and even though said person was absolutely disgusting and dirty, he couldn't help but press his body against him in a tight hug.

"he doesn't want to see me, eden," matio tried to say but the fact he hadn't slept for two days didn't help that.

"i'm so sorry, we're here now, it'll be okay," the black haired reassured, stroking the assistant's back softly.

in the background, yuri started picking up the clothes and the alcohol bottles.
"we're gonna get you washed up and then let's have a proper meal, okay?"

matio nodded, but he started to sob into eden's shoulder again and the black haired regretted talking to him about his brother.

he should've known it was his weakest spot.
the old eden enjoyed the fact he had just destroyed someone.

but this eden, he just wanted to cry with him.
