Chapter 5: Lost Memory

=Seoul National Hospital=

/3rd Person's POV/

"Excuse me, where is Ms. Yuri's room?" Mia asked, worry both in her tone and features

"She is still currently in the ICU ma'am. May I asked what your relationship with the patient is?" The nurse asked

"I'm her friend and only family" Mia answered

"Okay, we'll inform you when she's out of the ICU ma'am" The nurse said as Mia walked away to sit down

"Excuse us, but is Ms. Yura okay?" Juyeon asked

"She is still in the ICU, sir. I will inform you once we've received news. What is your relationship with her, may I ask?" Another nurse informed

"I'm her brother and she's our mother" Juyeon answered for both

"Okay, you may wait in the seats first, ma'am and sir. We'll inform you as soon as we received news from the doctor in charge" The nurse said

"Thank you" Juyeon said

-Few Hours Later-

"Relatives of Ms. Yuri?" The doctor called

"Yes?" Mia said, walking to the doctor

"I'm sorry but...she didn't make it. The impact from the accident caused a lot of major injuries in her body causing it to give up on her. I'm sorry for your loss, miss" The doctor said

"T-thank you f-for i-informing, doctor..." Mia managed to say before breaking down into tears

"Why do you have to leave me so early, Yuri-ah, on your birthday even, I wish I was there to save you..." Mia whispered before leaving the hospital with a heavy heart

-At The Same Time-

"Relatives of Ms. Yura?" Another doctor called

"Yes, how is my daughter, doctor?" Yura's mother asked

"Everything went well, Ma'am. Your daughter survived but I must inform you that she might suffer from amnesia because of the impact on her head" The doctor said

"Thank you, doctor, we'll keep that in mind. When can we visit her?" Juyeon asked

"I advise you let her rest for the night and visit her tomorrow" The doctor said

"Okay, doctor. Thank you again" Yura's mother said and bowed as she and Juyeon walked away with relieved smiles on their faces

-Next Morning: January 31, 2020-

"Hello, we're here to visit Ms. Yura, where is her room?" Juyeon asked

"Ah, her brother and mother, right? Its room number 11" The nurse said

"Okay then, thank you, miss" Juyeon said as they went to Yura's room, unbeknownst to them that the girl in that room isn't Yura but her lost twin, Yuri

As they arrive in front, the doctor went out at the same time.

"Good morning, doctor, how is my daughter doing?" Yura's mother asked

"She's recovering just fine, ma'am. She might be discharged after a week if this continues on but I'm afraid that she did suffer from amnesia and forgot even the basic information about her" The doctor said

"We understand, doc. Can we visit her now?" Juyeon asked

"Of course, I'll be on my way now" The doctor said, leaving them alone

"Yura-yah~ how are you feeling?" Juyeon chimed, entering the room

"Huh?" Yuri asked, looking up from the book she's reading

"How are you feeling, little sis?" Juyeon said, caressing her hair softly as she slightly moved away

"E-eh? Yura-yah, I'm your brother, Lee Juyeon" Juyeon said

"Dear, have you forgotten that she had amnesia?" Yura's mother asked

"Oh, right..." Juyeon mumbled as he sat next to Yuri on her bed

"Let me introduce myself to you. I am Lee Juyeon, your older brother by 6 years. Your name is Lee Yura, and you have a twin named Yuri who sadly passed away when you were born" Juyeon introduced

"And she is our mother. Father is currently out of the country because of his work that's why he isn't here" Juyeon further explained

"So my name is Yura?" Yuri said, closing her book and pointing at herself

"Yes, and don't worry. We'll help you recover back all your lost memories" Yura's mother said

"We?" Yuri asked

"Your brother and I, sweetie" Yura's mother said, caressing Yuri's cheeks

"I'm pretty sure my group would like to help as well" Juyeon said

"I'm sure they will. Yura is like their little sister too" Yura's mother said

"Group?" Yuri thought

Yuri, from here on, will be called as 'Yura' by others unless stated otherwise, so you don't get confused!!
