7. Units

Units

See these units written out,

Seeping in my head, a sea of doubt.

Too fat, Too short, Too skinny,

Whatever I do, there's no winning.

Units on a weighing scale,

Screaming imperfection in detail.

Too tall, too dark, too pale,

Thoughts flooding as I inhale.

Well, I have had enough,

Too tired to be perfect or tough.

You see,

What gave these units the right?

The right to drag us away from the light?

Why do we lock ourselves from being seen?

Because of a couple units on the screen?

A/N: So another poem for y'all. This is a more uplifting poem than what I have written before.

Inspiration: I got bored and i tried writing another poem with the same theme as my first one: measurement; but this time I took a more literal meaning in the word.

Would love to hear your comments and thoughts, it honestly make my day.
