Here We Go Again...

The story of Jessie Wood...

Love. It's a kind of a funny word. Now, have me, your girl, Jessie Wood, ever experienced love? Well let's just say no. I was, how do say, I've been around the town, and have my fair share of relationships and broken hearts. None of them were really serious and for a while I thought I wouldn't find the one to settle down with. Well, at least find one serious one. I kinda gave up some hope on finding a good guy in high school; seeing all my friends with their loving relationships doesn't help either. But, it's okay. I'm happy with the friends I have, and the life I'm living. I don't need no guy. Well, I do, however, want a guy. More specifically, Parker Choi, a very handsome and talented Korean boy, that definitely changed my senior year. Gosh, I need to stop falling for these Korean boys.

It was the first quarter of senior year. It was late at night when me, McKenna, Kayla, Arabella, Olivia, Ethan, Asher, Aidan, and Travis were at Dennys having a late night meal. We all chowed down on our bacon pieces and pancakes and waffles, while sitting together. We were all laughing and enjoying ourselves after a big win at tonight's football game. "some of those flags were complete bull shit?" Ethan said while taking a piece of bacon from McKenna. McKenna slapped his hand and took back her food. "Yeah, I know. But, hey. We still won." Asher said while sipping his cold tea. "I didn't even understand half of the game, but I'm glad we won. We all remember the last time we lost a game. The boys were pissed." Arabella said checking her phone. "Yep. It was kind of funny though. I can't take Asher and Ethan seriously when they're mad." I said finishing up my pancake stack. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN, DUMBASS." Ethan yelled while standing up. McKenna grabbed his arm and yanked him down back into his seat. "Well, I mean. She ain't wrong. Y'all do be looking like a baby that is throwing a fit after being told no. Like jeez, you both are worst than me when I'm raging over a game." McKenna said laughing. Ethan pinched her skin causing her to spazz out while Asher threw an ice cube at her. "Wow. Someone's a bit butt hurt." Olivia said looking at the two upset boys in front of her. We all laughed at them as the boys rolled their eyes and continued to eat their food. "Remind me again why we are eating breakfast at 1:00 am in the morning?" Aidan asked setting his phone down after checking the time. "Get used to it. We do this all the time." Kayla said taking his drink and helping herself. "Yep. You shouldn't have moved here if you don't like late night trips to Denny's." I said getting up. "I'm going to go use the restroom. I'll be back." I said walking to the other side of the building. "I'll go with you. Wait for me." McKenna said following me. "What's up with girls going to the restroom together?" Travis asked. "When are you and Olivia going to become an actual couple?" McKenna shot back. Travis rolled his eyes while Olivia threw a piece of bacon at her. McKenna just smirked as she followed after me. We both walked in. McKenna just waited outside the stall on her phone while I on the other hand was, well. Don't talk about it. I came out and washed my hands. Me and McKenna both left the restroom until I got interrupted by some fine looking guys sitting right outside the restroom. One in particular caught my eye. He had straight brunette hair and beautiful hazel eyes that twinkle. His skin was flawless and his clothes, well he had better fashion taste than me. He looked like a God. It's like there was a spot light shining just on him as I stared at him. "What you looking at?" McKenna asked me. She then looked in the same direction I was looking. "Ohhh. You like that hunk right there." I smiled. He then looked in my direction. I guess he caught me staring because he held eye contact with me and winked to tease me. I immediately looked away as my face started to blush and grew hot. A huge grin grew on my face as I walked forward without paying attention. "Jessie watch-" I ran into a table causing me to fall back. I can hear McKenna laughing her butt off as Ethan came and helped me up. "You're an idiot, Jessie." Ethan said shaking his head. McKenna walks over with tears in her eyes trying to catch her breath. I got up and gave her a dirty look. "Did pretty boy put you on a spell? How did you not see that big ass table in front of you??" She asked still laughing between every word. "Well, you could've told me." I said brushing off the dirt and dust off of me. "I tried to, but I thought it would be funnier to see how that would've ended." She said shooting her award winning smile. I hate when she does that.  Ethan tried to keep his smile in as he took McKenna to sit down. I felt embarrassed. Way to have a good first impression. "I hate you, you know." I said sticking my tongue out at her. "Love you too." She said wiping a tear from her cheek. She winked at me while nudging her head in their direction. I started to blush again. It's hard to hide it too because my face turns extremely red. She giggled at me while taking her fork and eating her the last piece of her waffle. I looked behind her to see the the group of good looking guys staring at our table; more specifically, McKenna. And me being my petty self, I wanted to, you know get back at her. "Hey, Ethan." "What's up?"he said turning and looking at me. "Well, this may not be what it looks like, but you see those boys behind us?" He turned around and saw the guys behind. "Yeah. What about them?" "Well, they are basically checking out McKenna. I mean if I was you, I would claim what's mine, nudge, nudge, wink, wink." He looks down and looks back up. He turns around and let me just say, he makes this seem like some dramatic telenovela and literally grabs McKenna's face and slams his lips on hers. I looked back to see the groups faces turn from happy to shook. They all awkwardly turned around and carried on with their day. I looked at McKenna with her eyes wide open and confused on what's going on. Everyone at the table was all shocked. "Y'all can get a room, luv." Arabella said. I started bursting out into laughter. McKenna put the pieces together. While looking at me while Ethan was claiming what's his, McKenna shoots me a dirty look and flips me off. I laugh at her and she rolls her eyes. She pushed Ethan off. "Woah. What was that for?" She said with an awkward smile. He just shrugged his shoulders as he turned his head giving the group of boys behind us a glare. I bursted into laughter. "He's just claiming what's his." I said with a smile. She looked behind than back at me. "What's the thing Arabella says? Oh right. Go suck a toe." She said said giving me a dirty look. Ethan grew red as he looked around the table full of people shooting confused looks. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YALL ALL LOOKING AT!" he yelled shielding his blushing face. McKenna gave him a hug. "Asher and Aidan, don't act like you have never devoured your girls faces before." Olivia said. They both rolled their eyes. "Alright, alright. I have to admit. Props to Ethan though." We all kind of laughed it off and finished our food. The boys behind us all started to get up and throw their food away. McKenna noticed. "Hey, it's getting late. And I'm tired, so I'm gonna head out." She said getting up. "Well alright. Then I guess we're leaving." Asher said grabbing his keys. McKenna looked at me and smirked. She takes Ethan by the arm and starts heading out, but before she has to put her two sense in. "I will get back at you. And you better go get your man candy." She said. I looked at her and pushed her away. She smiled at me as she walked away with Ethan. "Bye guys." She said as she left the building. I got my stuff and headed for the door. While there, I felt someone nudge my shoulder. I turned around to look up at the same fine Korean boy. My face grew red. I quickly tried to turn around and leave, but he caught me. He grabbed my shoulder. I slowly turned around to look at him. My whole body melted at his touch. "H-hey." I said while the nerves were basically consuming me. "Hey. Um are you ok? You took a bit of a nasty fall." He said in the most adorable accent. It was clear English wasn't his first language. "Oh yeah. I'm fine. And so are you." I said while whispering the last part. "I'm sorry what did you say?" "Oh nothing. But, thanks for checking up on me." I said trying to conceal my inner freak out. "Great. I'm Parker. Parker Choi by the way." "Hmm. Parker is a cute name." "Oh cool. I'm Jessie." He smiled at me. A couple of the guys then called his name. "Parker!" They yelled while waving their hands for him to come. "Oh. Well I have to go. Nice meeting you, Jessie." My body tingled when he said my name. "Well, nice to meet you too." He shot a smile my way and walked back to his friends. I walked out of the building, barely comprehending what had just happened. "Oooo. Who was that?" Kayla asked coming up to me with Aidan following behind. "Nobody. So shut up." I said pushing her. "Mhmm. Sure thing." She said with a smirk. She walked to her car. I rolled my eyes as I continued to walk to my car and leave. I got home and plopped on my bed. Yay, I met the guy of my dreams, yet I'm never going to see him again. Don't I just love that. My phone started to buzz. It was an unknown number. Confused, I opened up the text. "Hey!" "Hi. Um, who is this?" "Oh. My bad. This is Parker. Your friend gave me your number in the parking lot. She said something about claiming something. Idk." I look up from my phone and just shook my head. My phone started to buzz again. McKenna's name popped up on the screen. "Oh I forgot to tell you. I gave your boyfriend your number since you couldn't." "I hate you." "Love you. Now go get your manz 'wink emoji'" Gosh. What am I going to do with her? I went back through my messages and replied to Parker. "Oh yeah. Haha. Sorry about that." "No need to be. I was going to ask for it, but I kinda got nervous." "Why? No need to be nervous with me at all." "It's kinda hard to not be nervous with a pretty girl." My face immediately turned red. A smile was then plastered on my face. "Wow. Um thanks. You're not bad looking yourself either." "Yeah. I can tell by the way you were looking at me." My eyes grew big. "..." "I'm just messing with you. Haha." "Yeah." My face was so hot and I started shaking from the nerves in my body. "Well. It's late. Goodnight." "Goodnight."  I turned off my phone. My smile was now touching both ears. My eyes slowly closed as the smile stayed on my face.
