You are light.
You vanquished the dark.
Erased my shame.
And bought me upon a new name.
You are light.
You chased the demons. Chased the fear.
You came back to me no matter what.
Now my vision's all clear.
You are light.
For so long, I've lived without reason.
Felt like a burden upon everybody's back.
Felt like I've committed treason.
Felt like one day I'd snap.
But you were there.
Oh, you were there.
When I was but a lonesome dying flower within the depths of the rainforest, you were there. You were the sun that shone through no matter the amount of trees and vines that blocked the rays.
And in all that effort, you gave a single flower life.
And with all the rays you have shown,
that flower has now grown.
Petals, blooming into full view.
Life, starting anew.
You are light.
Sometimes I feel as if you'll go away.
But you always come back to me either way.
Some days I feel as though you shine so brightly, I'd have to look away.
But is it okay?
If I could stay with you by your side?
Just like this, everyday?
