Chapter 6: What The Fuck.....

Angel's POV:

I have made it so that Ryder will be surprised to see me. I have been talking it over with Jasmine all week. I am just going to go and make sure that I don't let my nervousness get to me.

I got a good morning text from Ryder. I smile as I read that he was already almost at the event.

I tell him to have fun and that I hope it went well. I knew that I had a couple of hours before I needed to leave. I get in the shower, then dry my hair and run up stairs to get my straightener and makeup.

I hope that this goes well. I've started to really like Ryder. That alone scares the shit out of me. It's been years since I have felt like this with a guy. I could really fuck this up if I over think it. I really didn't want that. Ughh why does this have to be so hard, why can't I just be normal like everyone else around me. As I finish my hair I put on light makeup and grab my keys and head out the door.

When I get to the event I park and get out. I have been talking to Ryder's friend NIck who helped me keep Ryder in the dark about me really coming. I had to have someone other than Ryder that I know here in case it doesn't go well. I take a deep breath getting out of the car. As I get closer to the event I see Nick and I'm going to guess his girlfriend that he was talking about. I then see Ryder get out of his car with a pretty brunette. What the fuck is all I thought. I waited to see what would happen.

He walks up to Nick and gives him a hug and the brunette then clingys to Ryder's side. You've got to be kidding me right now." I whisper to myself. This is my fault I think to myself, I am the one who made him think that I wasn't coming. I will see I wasn't expecting him to bring another girl with him. She was everything I wasn't, she was thin and she was beautiful. I stare a little longer before turning around and looking through the cars. I then make my way back over to my car and I just stop to see people looking at her. She was pretty don't get me wrong, she is my car. I just didn't know what was so special about her that everyone was staring, she was just a Subaru wrx sti, she was a dark red with blacked out windows. I snap out of my trance when I hear my name being called out.

I look to see Ryder behind me. I make my way to the car getting in and starting my car hearing her purr. I get out of the spot and see not only Ryder, but also his "girl" and Nick. I leave making my way home. As I pull up to my house I hear a car pull close to me.

" Why did you leave?" I look to see Ryder getting out of his car and walking over to me. I notice that his "girl" isn't with him. What a shame. I laugh and look at him giving a glare. " Why do you think I left. I don't know why you are here and where your little girlfriend ?" I say with him not realizing that I was saying it till it left my mouth . He looks at me confused. "She isn't my girlfriend, she is one of Nick's friends who go to events with people. You told me you weren't coming, I need someone there." he said to me. I scuff at him. "You expect me to believe what you are saying? She was all over you like you belonged to her." I start to walk away. "I don't know why you don't believe me babygirl." He said it as he grabbed my wrist and spun me around.

" I don't believe you because I know that even if that is not what she was there for in your mind, that in hers that is why she was there." I say to him ripping my hand away from his grip and walking away again. I will not look back at him if I do I will break. As I get to my door I realize that, maybe I should just go back to the car show. I turn around and I head back to my car passing Ryder. "Where are you going?" He yells to me " To somewhere you aren't" I say to him not looking at him as I get into my car and drive off.

I pull into the event parking lot again. I see Nick and I walk up to him. " Yo Nick" I yell at him making it so he turns around, looking at me as I walk closer. "Yo Little Red, you came back. Have you seen Ryder? He took off as soon as you left in that amazing car you have."

" Yeah, he followed me telling me that the little whore he was here with was one of your friends." I say calmly while watching guys show off in their cars.

"You mean Alice?" I look at him as he says this, starting to worry that I fucked up.

" Is that her name?" I ask with a little anger in my tone. Why would NIck do this, he knew I was coming.

" Yeah, that's her name, she and Ryder had a thing a long time ago. He called me and asked for a favor and I asked if he wanted Alice." I get angry. He said it like it was no big deal at all.

"Why?" I ask.

" 'Cause he is my best friend Little Red." He said shrugging it off like again it was nothing.

" I blew up on him, he tried to explain and I just ignored him." I say to Nick getting kinda sad.

"Ryder needs to learn that if he wants you, he will have to earn you hun and if not then walk away before it destroys you." He looks at me with a look that say that he know Ryder way better than anyone.

" Well we will see if he is going to fight for me or if I have to walk away Nick." I say and for the next few hours we just talk and laugh about stupid boys showing off the cars that their parents bought them.

When we go to leave I get a call from Nick.

"Dude I haven't even left yet what up?" I say laughing knowing that Nick hates phone calls.

"I have you heard from Ryder 'cause I haven't?" He says with worry.

"No I haven't why?" I ask.

"We need to find him, the last thing we need is for him to go nuts." He says to me.

We set up a plan that I am going to go to Ryder's house and he is going to go to their favorite spot to think.

Then I start my long drive to try and find the man who would one day destroy me.
